Driveway design layout granite pavers Suffolk & Nassau county long island

Mike,
Thank you so much for coming here today and putting my mind to ease about this job. Scott and I talked and we are going to remove ALL the trees to maximize the look of the driveway and the house.. We can always plant new trees elsewhere once the pavers are completed 🙂
With that said we can now make Scotts driveway more aesthetically pleasing as well since that big tree will be gone and we can keep his cut through.. Can you send me the pictures of the layouts that you have mocked up showing the extension of pavers on Scotts side, the bumpout in the center of the arch in front of the door and also making my parking space bigger to accommodate the big cars 🙂 .. I am pretty sure you had an aerial shot as well as one looking head on but not too sure.
As for the mocha travertine clearly we have no choice but to use the 6x9s that match and I do trust that you guys will work them into the existing patio and make it look great!!
I will begin to get tree estimates tomorrow and get that going…
I believe you said that you will come and mark out the morning of the excavation and then begin to dig the same day and I think it will work well if Scott will be home to run the pipe the same day for the water line since it will be trenched. Let me know if this will work since its copper and doesn’t bend he really wouldn’t be able to feed through a tube that easy he said. You two can talk if need be on this as I have no clue I am just passing along the message.
I know that all of these brilliant ideas you have with the aprons and turning the bricks in different directions or whatever and the bump out in the center of the driveway and anything else you threw at us is not on the drawing.. I just want to make sure that they will be included in the design and passed along to Charlie when he is here overseeing the job as I believe he indicated he was going to be here with his crew for this job…
Again I thank you and I will hopefully touch base with you in a couple of days with the tree estimates so I can get moving on the permits and having them removed.
I look forward to the process with Gappsi as you guys really have been such a pleasure through everything this far..
Sincerely the email lady 🙂

Best way to build swimming pool bottom ask experts of long island

Client in Indianapolis
We have talked to several pool companies in Indianapolis and are getting difference answers. In Indiana, what is the best for bottom for an in ground liner pool. How do 6bag mix concrete, vermiculite, and mortar compare. The pool will be built at the top of a sloped hill that ends up in a retainer pond so we should not have a problem with ground water. Each build tells us that their way is best. Now we are confused. Can you help answer our question?
From Giuseppe Abbrancati
Every one has a way of doing it and one is not better then the other because in the end they all achieve the same thing and that is making the bottom of the pool hard this way you don’t get foot prints, and anything that gets hard is good. The way we do it is by mixing sand and cement in a dry mix, and the reason we do it this way is because we can make the pool bottom very smooth and you will not see any imperfections in the liners when the pool lights are on at night. Also in the future if you need to replace the liner there will be nothing you need to do to the pool bottom.

Mike, questions about our project
It was a pleasure meeting with you yesterday regarding our upcoming project…. I am sure Giuseppe has told you that I ask a lot of questions so I figured I would put it in an email so I make sure I cover everything 🙂
I also email as it’s sometimes easier when the kids are sleeping and its also my only free time and I do forget to call people while the kids are up so I apologize if email is not your preferred way of communication. You can feel free to call me with the answers or email I just didn’t want to forget anything and have to go back and forth.
With the price given for granite pavers are you able to do any better being the amount of business we have given Gappsi in the past 6 months? With upcoming driveway door and portico.
Once we give a deposit can you come and mark out where the driveway will go so I can coordinate having the landscaping removed and to make sure of which trees have to be taken down.. In town of Oyster Bay I have to get permits to have trees removed so it could be a couple weeks as last time any company that came wouldn’t do without the permit
I know you mentioned doing some sort of design on the aprons and/or different directions on entrances and some sort of bump out in the center of the driveway to line up with the steps as well as by the driveway. Was curious to see if you have any pictures of such designs or if its in your head… I know sometimes it just comes to you as you see the job. If not it really doesn’t impact the job but was just curious
What material are the steps going to be made of? Is it granite to match the driveways or pavers??
How big is the platform for the steps? Is it enough to accommodate the portico without compromising aesthetic look?
How thick are granite pavers?
I currently have some electrical run in the front in tubes under the old driveway.. Will this be affected by the removal of the old driveway or can we do something to ensure that it is not ruined if possible??
Currently you have the walkway from the driveway to the side door in granite pavers. I think I will need to change that as we originally never planned on adding a front door and gaining a side door so we never planned on a path from the gate entrance to the side door to the pool. I think I need the granite to the fence line and then the mixed large mocha travertine from the fence to the side door to the pool area. I am not sure if you need to come here to measure or I can take pictures and send to you of the side yard and current back patio to help you with the estimate on this portion.. Giuseppe also has the survey if it helps that shows the side door and the back deck where the travertine patio currently begins, so just let me know what you need to figure this into the estimate.. I am looking for a standard walkway nothing too crazy.. Is a standard walkway 3 or 4 feet? Let me know how to proceed with that…
Once we give deposit for project can the design be emailed to me so I can take a look again and make sure of layout including the new walkway layout from the bullet above?
OK so I think I asked anything and everything possible and I thank you again for your time and look forward to hearing back from you and going forward with the job.
Courtney & Scott
