A new landscape as been installed to compliment this spectacular setting of swimming pool and all amenities around it from BBQ, Spa, fire pit bar and a beautiful travertine floor of natural stone pavers. It will take at least one more year to full appreciate the landscape plants allowing them top grow for one year they will fill in and flower more uniformly.
This Landscape project was meticulously planned. We achieved this by meeting with our client to discuss their needs and expectations. After our first meeting a unique and creative design was presented to them. On this design were different elements that made this project different, for example the swimming pool was framed out with Cedrus Atlantica Fastigata – Blue Atlas Cedar, This was done to create a definition of this particular area and to also add color with the beautiful Blue-Grey foliage that this wonderful specimen has to offer.
We combined different types of foliage color for contrast so the landscape does not look plain but alive with the help of flowering shrubs like Knockout Roses and Hydrangeas. Adding assorted perennials such as Black eyed Susan, Nepeta and Daylily’s complete a beautiful country look to a well manicured landscape.
Since drainage was an issue we had to carefully grade the property and add organic soil to improve the existing soil conditions in order to prepare the area for sod installation. Kentucky Blue grass was used for this project. A catch basin and piping connecting to exiting drywell was installed in order to cover up the drywell to level out the back lawn area for full usage of the lawn. A series of Flowering Specimen trees were strategically placed around the border to create a future screen while admiring the amazing flowers that the trees produce. We used Southern Magnolias for this which had to be special ordered for this project due to the fact that they produce big white flowers and they are an evergreen as well is a rare combination.
Combinations of evergreen trees were installed on the back of the property to create a desired lush green wall. Trees used were ‘Emerald Green’ Arborvitae, ‘Green Giant’ Arborvitae which works well in partial shade. White Birches were planted through out the property because of the beauty the bark provides throughout the year but especially in the winter when the leaves drop. Both Clump and single White birches were used for contrast. Moss Rock boulders were placed throughout the garden to enhance the natural beauty of the flowering shrubs, perennials and evergreens to create endless beauty.
