This landscape project was carefully planed because of the topographic challenges. Planting materials were selected for different reasons, some of them were selected for the root system to contain topsoil from washing away, some were selected for shade tolerance and others for sunny areas. This landscape was design to blend in with Mother Nature because this residence has wooded areas. All plantings were planted with a mixture of topsoil, peat moss and root started fertilizer and watering was done immediately to prevent plant dehydration. Some of the planting was selected for screening reasons, also for foundation plantings, mass planting for slopes and ornamental planting (specimen plants). To protect the planting roots from winter frost triple shredded dark mulch was added, this also prevents weeds from taking over the flowerbeds. Some plantings are native plants wich means they are easy to maintain and they don’t need lots of water to survive.
