Landscape and masonry for Brookside Multicare Nursing Center in Smithtown NY was remodeled by Gappsi. Starting with the court yard, an old 10 ft wide concrete sidewalk was removed and new Nicolock pavers were installed. A new putting green was built in front of the gym room where it can be viewed from the inside through the large window facing the courtyard. As focal point, a large berm with landscaping and a pond-less water fall were built as a backdrop to the putting green, the entire courtyard surrounding it was graded and sods were installed throughout.

Pool house pavilion/garage combination built in Dix Hills, NY with cedar shake shingles impression vinyl siding and 30 year architectural brown shingles. Part of the structure has a garage door to the driveway and an overhanging pavilion facing the pool and backyard. The garage was built with extra height to accommodate a car lift. Trim and columns were finished with Azek, masonry piers and BBQ island, with a grill refrigerator and bar sink, constructed with Moca travertine veneers. The large free form swimming pool was built with concrete walls and a liner, a shallow deep end to accommodate the SRS Slide, 3 sheer descents built in the raised wall on the back side of the pool, concrete steps covered with a textured liner, a deep end bench, a standing ledge, an LED light, gas heater, salt water chlorine system, and full automation. Approximately 3,000 sq ft of Moca travertine pavers were used for the entire backyard, and the deck leading to the house was constructed with Timbertech. Also, it allows you to put your pump in the middle of the cover and allow the extra water in the pool to come through and get pumped out. Winter covers are manufactured in all mesh or solid rubber with a 24×24 mesh hole in the center to let water drain into the pool. Anchors are installed in the patio about 36 inches away from the swimming pool. The way they are installed is by drilling a hole in the patio, brass anchors are slid through, and the cover is then attached to the anchors. If the patio is not installed correctly, the cover may become loose and it will not be as safe as it should be.
The Gappsi way of installation starts with the proper installation of the patio. Four foot wide slabs with reinforced rebar are always installed around the swimming pool to prevent settling of the patio, then the finished paving material is installed over the concrete base. The Gappsi installation of the safety pool cover is then installed over the patio by drilling holes straight through the finished paving material all the way down into the concrete base. A sleeve is installed into the hole about 6 inches into the patio going through the 4 inches of concrete base and further in the ground, and a brass screw pin is then installed into the pipe. By unscrewing the brass screw pin; it comes up above the patio and allows for the cover ring hooks to attach to the brass screw. After this is all done for every strap of the cover, your Gappsi installed pool cover is safe to walk on with no chance of breaking.

Color of paving stones blend in with the natural rocks of the water fountain. The paving stones layout incorporate the original design of a cluster of berries and a vine with leaves that flow throughout the walkway surrounding the water fountain. Paving stones were installed on 1 in. grated sand over 9 in. of recycled concrete base. Gappsi Edge Restraint system was used to secure the walkway border.
