In this particular installation we built a 30 x 30 basketball court. Eight inches of soil was excavated and removed from the site, then six inches of recycled concrete base was installed and compacted with a heavy mechanical plate. A 6×9 Nicolock paving stone border was installed around the perimeter to outline the edge of the court, which also reinforces the asphalt and keeps it from cracking in the future. An adjustable, regulation-size basketball hoop was installed, and across from it on the other side of the court, a flood light was installed on a 14 ft tall pole for the homeowners to be able to use the court at night.
