Swimming pool winter covers installed by Gappsi will give you all the protection, security, and safety you need for your family, pets, and neighbors. Winter pool covers are manufactured to let the water from the rain drain through. Also, it allows you to put your pump in the middle of the cover and allow the extra water in the pool to come through and get pumped out. Winter covers are manufactured in all mesh or solid rubber with a 24×24 mesh hole in the center to let water drain into the pool. Anchors are installed in the patio about 36 inches away from the swimming pool. The way they are installed is by drilling a hole in the patio, brass anchors are slid through, and the cover is then attached to the anchors. If the patio is not installed correctly, the cover may become loose and it will not be as safe as it should be.
The Gappsi way of installation starts with the proper installation of the patio. Four foot wide slabs with reinforced rebar are always installed around the swimming pool to prevent settling of the patio, then the finished paving material is installed over the concrete base. The Gappsi installation of the safety pool cover is then installed over the patio by drilling holes straight through the finished paving material all the way down into the concrete base. A sleeve is installed into the hole about 6 inches into the patio going through the 4 inches of concrete base and further in the ground, and a brass screw pin is then installed into the pipe. By unscrewing the brass screw pin; it comes up above the patio and allows for the cover ring hooks to attach to the brass screw. After this is all done for every strap of the cover, your Gappsi installed pool cover is safe to walk on with no chance of breaking.

Breathtaking, multilevel water fountain and 4000 square feet of exquisite details of paving stones walkways add vibrancy to the entrance of this senior citizen residence complex. Color of paving stones blend in with the natural rocks of the water fountain. The paving stones layout incorporate the original design of a cluster of berries and a vine with leaves that flow throughout the walkway surrounding the water fountain. Paving stones were installed on 1 in. grated sand over 9 in. of recycled concrete base. Gappsi Edge Restraint system was used to secure the walkway border.

The crab orchard mini colonial wall used for the raised patio walls and light piers blend with the natural colors of the random pattern travertine as they were meant to be together. The pool patio height was built one step down from my existing paving stone patio in my back yard, and the hot tub area was built 3 steps up from the pool patio creating enough height for the water from the spillover to fall in to the pool and creating a very pleasant running water affect. Also 4 lions head wall sconces were installed, 2 on each side of the spa spillover. a jandy heater ,jandy salt chlorinator system, a polaris pool cleaner and a state of the art control system that runs all the pool equipment as well as the sprinkler system and the outdoor lights. after the installation of the back yard pool patio we went farther and had Gappsi install a new driveway in the front of the house and 2 walk ways to the back yard one on each side of the house with nicolock stone ridge in oyster blend Gappsi also designed and installed the entire landscape from trees to flower and sod the entire front and back yards. from designing to the last question of the project we did not have to deal with anyone else but Gappsi and the last thing that was done was the installation of the loop lock cover this fall . What is Efflorescence and what Causes it?
A white powder that bleeds trough the cement, grout, bricks and concrete walls and floors. That white residue is called efflorescence. it is the lime and calcium that gets brought to the surface by way or evaporation as the stones dry the water rises to the top and so is the white powder from the cement within the paving stones and retaining walls.
The solution to remove it isn’t many, there are some products that could remove it but at the same time you could damage the finish on the stones. Best to let a professional decide how to and to what products to use.

What is the best sealer for concrete pavers?
There are many manufactures of sealers, from solvents to acrylic urethane. Epoxies, acrylic, and urethane sealers come in water-based versions and solvent-based versions, including combinations of both. The biggest difference between the two is the VOC content. The sheen and life of the product determines how often it lasts before needing to be reapplied. Solvent-based acrylics tend yellow overtime and don’t allow the concrete breathe. Epoxies are the strongest sealers, but are best used for smoother surfaces and more for indoor or warehouse floor application. The best sealers for paving stones are water-based urethane. They are algae and mold inhibitors, allow superior joint stabilization, they are environmentally safe, its UV Protection will not harm vegetation, and it is VOC Compliant in all 50 States.
