We install 4 to6 inches of concrete for walkways and patios for pedestrian areas with reinforced wire mesh. We score concrete with joiner to create the definition of individual slabs also called flags, usually concrete flags are 48 inches x 48 inches this will allow concrete to split were the seems are should ice build under the concrete slab. It also makes it visually appealing to score the concrete in flags. For concrete sidewalk and patios we use 3000 psi concrete and we add fiber mesh if we want to further reinforce the finished concrete product. Concrete is produced by combining gravel, sand and Portland cement.
