Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the first step if I’m considering a bathroom remodel? The best way to begin is by gathering some inspiration. Think about what you love and what isn’t working in your current space. Once you have a general idea of your goals, the next step is to schedule a consultation. We can discuss your vision, look at the existing layout, and start mapping out a realistic plan together.
How long should I expect my bathroom to be out of commission during a remodel? The timeline for a bathroom remodel can vary quite a bit based on the project’s complexity. A simple update might take a couple of weeks, while a complete overhaul that involves moving plumbing and walls will naturally take longer. We provide a detailed project schedule before any work begins so you know exactly what to expect and for how long.
What does a “full gut” remodel actually involve? A full gut remodel means we take the room down to the studs. This involves removing everything—the old tub, toilet, vanity, flooring, and even the drywall. It gives us a clean slate to update essential systems like plumbing and electrical, add new insulation, and ensure everything behind the walls is perfect before we start building your beautiful new bathroom.
Do I need to have all my design ideas figured out before contacting you? Not at all! It’s helpful if you have some ideas about the style you like, but you don’t need a fully formed design. Our team is here to help you with that. We can guide you through selecting materials, fixtures, and a layout that creates the sanctuary you’re dreaming of while also being highly functional for your daily life.
What are the main factors that influence the final cost? The final cost of a remodel is shaped by three main things: the size of your bathroom, the quality of the materials you choose, and the scope of the work. For instance, selecting high-end porcelain tiles and a custom vanity will differ in price from standard options. Similarly, changing the bathroom’s layout by moving a shower or toilet requires more extensive plumbing work, which also affects the budget.
