Last summer, Gappsi designed and installed the patioscape around our new in-ground pool and the results are beautiful. We had considered cement pavers, but Guiseppe and his professional staff suggested travertine pavers as an alternative. As we walked around his indoor and outdoor showroom, we were very impressed with the beauty of the natural stone. After considering the project for some time, with the Gappsi team patiently answering all our questions, we decided on the Noce-colored, 6×12 travertine pavers. We chose the travertine because we loved the look, its naturally slip resistance and its coolness to the touch even in full sun on 90-degree days. We selected the same travertine paver for the full-nosed coping for the smoothness of the finish. A large waterfall anchors the pool, and the sound of its cascading waters contributes greatly to the relaxing atmosphere. One of our project’s challenges was the downward slope of our yard. The Gappsi crew did a fantastic job leveling out the area surrounding the pool to ensure the integrity of the patio. Giuseppe designed and created a 2-foot retaining and sitting wall with Hanover stones that perfectly complements the travertine patio. The centerpiece of the patio is the expansive firepit, also made of Hanover stones. The firepit allowed us to use our pool area long after the swimming season passed. As the last piece of the project, Gappsi removed an old wooden deck off the sliding doors of the house and created lovely steps matching Hanover walls of the patio for a seamless hardscape. Gappsi was recommended to us by a friend that also had their swimming pool installed by Gappsi. We had a 16×34 swimming pool built in our back yard, completed with moca travertine in a French pattern around the pool and 6×12 travertine for the walkway from the driveway to the back yard. We decided to install an automated swimming pool cover for the pool after it was explained to us about all the benefits. We are very happy with the results and look forward to years of fun with our pool!

IT STILL LOOKS NEW When we met Guiseppe almost 7 years ago, I was struck by his attention to detail and willingness to listen to our ideas. Although we really were not quite sure what we wanted we knew what we didn’t want, and that was mediocre work. Gappsi transformed our home with a tastefully done walk and driveway which led to our double door entry, achieving a very grand look. We also challenged Guiseppe to incorporate an existing gunite pool to have new coping and a free form patio with multi level walks and landings. His workers were extremely skilled and polite. This is a first class company and we are thrilled with his talent and workmanship.

Ibraem Professional Job: We used Gappsi to install our swimming pool patio 10 years ago and the job was constructed with a 3 feet high retaining wall around the entire pool area. The swimming pool was sunk down in to the ground and a drainage system needed to be installed. Giuseppe suggested to install (4) drywells – one in each corner- and had the patio slope towards the drains. Gappsi used rustico 6×9 bayberry blend Nicolock for the pool patio and the same paving stones for the driveway, front steps and front walkway. The job was professionally completed in a timely manner as promised. The installation and workmanship had been outstanding and every thing worked well for the past 10 years. We used Gappsi again this year to install asphalt driveway with tumbled paving stone borders at our office building in Massapequa. As expected, we’re very pleased with the work done. We had recommended Gappsi for our friends and relatives and they all appreciated his work.
