Our wooden playsets, such as those from the Gorilla Playsets line, are crafted from naturally rot-resistant cedar for a classic look. Our vinyl playsets are often preferred for their extremely low maintenance, as they do not require regular staining or sealing and are highly resistant to the salt air common on the North and South Shores of Long Island.

Proper site preparation is critical. For unitary surfaces like synthetic turf or poured rubber, we often install a layer of crushed stone and a dedicated drainage system beneath the surface. This prevents puddling and ensures the play area is dry and usable shortly after a Long Island rainstorm.

Permit requirements vary by municipality (such as the Town of Huntington or Smithtown). While many standard playsets do not require permits, inground trampolines or structures with permanent concrete footings might. Gappsi can assist with the necessary architectural drawings and permit expediting process.

Maintenance depends on the material. We recommend a weekly visual check for loose bolts or wear. For synthetic turf, a simple leaf blower or occasional power wash is sufficient. If you have a wooden set, we provide professional cleaning and sealing services to protect the timber from the elements and extend its lifespan.
