This backyard layout includes a vinyl-lined swimming pool with fiberglass steps and a raised patio area next to the pool, which was built as a sundeck and also to include a sheer descent water feature installation. Also, we installed a wood burning fire-pit and sitting wall combination with travertine veneer and coping. The whole backyard patio and pool area was paved with Scabos french pattern travertine pavers and silver travertine coping.

The old railroad tie retaining wall was removed and re-constructed with a poured reinforced-concrete wall. It was then veneered with tumbled travertine split-face veneers and finished on top with 12 inch wide, 2 inch thick travertine coping. Sheer descent water features were also installed in the wall over the center spilling into the pool.

All walls were veneered with split-face tumbled travertine and Twin-Eagle appliances were installed. The appliances include a 24-inch griddle, see-through refrigerator, bar sink, ice maker, a large burner, and many storage cabinets. A 16×16 pavilion was custom-built over the outdoor cooking area, completed with stained wood beams in the ceiling and all synthetic wood trims wrapping the four columns and fascia.
The entire backyard floor and pool patio was completed with Moca tumbled french pattern travertine. The outdoor lighting is designed and installed to uniformly light up the backyard and accent each area. This project was designed by Giuseppe Abbrancati and installed by Gappsi for a private residence in Southampton, NY. The oversized lazy L-shaped gunite swimming pool is built in line with the house’s diagonal angles, complementing the modern look of the multi-level home. Each side of the swimming pool makes for perfect view from all the windows in the house.
Gunite swimming pools, besides being very beautiful, are also very functional and can include many different features. This Gunite Pool & Backyard Design includes a large sundeck with 12 inches of water for chairs and benches in the shallow area. An elevated spa was also added in the center of the sundeck with a spill over on all four sides. LED lights were also added throughout the pool, and the pool surface consists of Diamond Brite Tahoe Blue quartz finish. The edge of the pool was finished with blue stone coping and waterline porcelain tiles, and the pool was fitted with a saltwater chlorine generator system and a propane gas heater.
The surrounding of the pool was completed with a patio to compliment the swimming pool layout, and was built with limestone natural pavers. Laminar deck jet water features were placed around the pool creating a park-like effect in the day, and at night, a stream of light travels through the water spilling in the swimming pool. The deep end of the gunite swimming pool is regulation for diving with an 8-foot gray colored diving board and a flight deck base. The rest of the backyard was completed with sod and tree installation. This kitchen remodeling started with an all new room layout, by removing middle partitions that divided the dining and cooking area we combined the rooms into an open space layout. With the elimination of the walls and installation of a new larger window, we allowed more light to come into the house. All new custom-wood kitchen cabinets in two tones of beige for the hood and the island and dark cherry for all other cabinets were installed. Tumbled travertine tiles were installed for the back-splash, and matte-finish seashell limestone counters were installed for both cabinets and the center island. A beam molding, protruding down from the ceilings defining the slopes and angles, was constructed and stained to match the kitchen cabinets and refinished wood floors. Porcelain plank tiles were installed from front door entrance throughout the kitchen area leading into the family room. These porcelain plank tiles are durable, withstand high heat, and also creates a clear definition for the couch and table areas.
This small backyard was designed by Giuseppe Abbrancati and installed by Gappsi in Merrick, Long Island NY in 2018 on a spectacular waterfront property. The layout incorporates a gunite swimming pool with a spa, corner stairs, benches, and sheer descent water features that were installed along one side of the pool facing the house. The pool also has a safety auto cover, automation system, LED lights, salt chlorine generator, and an ozone system.
The pool finish consists of Diamond Brite French Gray with tile markers installed at the edges of the steps and benches. Pennsylvania blue-stone was used for the coping and the patio was paved with Pompeii limestone selected from Gappsi showroom. A gas fire pit was installed on the circular shaped patio and Acadia Go-Green synthetic turf was used to cover the remaining yard space. The deck was modified to accommodate the new backyard layout.
