In this particular installation we built a 30 x 30 basketball court. Eight inches of soil was excavated and removed from the site, then six inches of recycled concrete base was installed and compacted with a heavy mechanical plate. A 6×9 Nicolock paving stone border was installed around the perimeter to outline the edge of the court, which also reinforces the asphalt and keeps it from cracking in the future. An adjustable, regulation-size basketball hoop was installed, and across from it on the other side of the court, a flood light was installed on a 14 ft tall pole for the homeowners to be able to use the court at night. A net can also be attached to the poles to play volleyball. The asphalt was left unpainted and unsealed at the client request.

The patio is covered with a 12′ x 12′ white portico with round columns. The elegant portico overlooking the ocean is stylish yet practical, providing a certain level of shade without being completely enclosed.
