The old railroad tie retaining wall was removed and re-constructed with a poured reinforced-concrete wall. It was then veneered with tumbled travertine split-face veneers and finished on top with 12 inch wide, 2 inch thick travertine coping. Sheer descent water features were also installed in the wall over the center spilling into the pool.

The bluestone coping installed for swimming pool and spa complement the porcelain tiles installed in the swimming pool water line. The tile markers outline the steps, benches, sundeck, and the spa interior. The finish of the pool is Super Blue Diamond Brite, which consists of a white quartz with speckle of blue.

All walls were veneered with split-face tumbled travertine and Twin-Eagle appliances were installed. A 16×16 pavilion was custom-built over the outdoor cooking area, completed with stained wood beams in the ceiling and all synthetic wood trims wrapping the four columns and fascia.
The entire backyard floor and pool patio was completed with Moca tumbled french pattern travertine. The outdoor lighting is designed and installed to uniformly light up the backyard and accent each area. Pavilion Built In Dix Hills By Gappsi
This 20×24 pavilion was designed and built by Gappsi in Dix Hills, NY. We built it with 6 columns, all wrapped with synthetic wood and Azek. This outdoor structure allows the homeowners to enjoy their backyard in both sunny and rainy days. The pavilion not only looks elegant, but it’s also very functional and includes great amenities.
A wood burning fireplace is accompanied with a large screen TV and enough room for a comfortable couch area in front of it. Underneath the pavilion, we installed all Twin Eagle Appliances: a bar island with a sink, storage cabinets, and refrigerator; and we installed an outdoor changing room with a shower. The adjacent area is already set up for a future outdoor spa to be placed also.
All white trim, moldings, and maintenance-free paneling were used to veneer columns and ceiling. The fireplace and bar island were veneered with tumbled split face travertine veneers to match the travertine french pattern sealed patio throughout the pavilion and surrounding area. This backyard was designed by Giuseppe Abbrancati and installed by the Gappsi team. The gunite swimming pool has a rectangular shell with a bench on the long side of the pool, a sundeck with a bubbler, steps, and a spa. Spillover water bowls also function as fire features. The swimming pool is 8 feet deep, and includes a diving board and a safety auto cover. The backyard is elegant, functional, and simple. The Fiorito travertine patio for the fire pit area, the pavilion floor, and the pool patio area were bordered with blue stone strips to match the swimming pool coping. The pavilion was built by Gappsi and was designed to match the house style and details. The outdoor kitchen was built with Wolf cabinets and Twin Eagle appliances, and it was veneered with Fiorito travertine to match the pillars that hold the fire bowls and the fire-pit. Pool house pavilion/garage combination built in Dix Hills, NY with cedar shake shingles impression vinyl siding and 30 year architectural brown shingles. Part of the structure has a garage door to the driveway and an overhanging pavilion facing the pool and backyard. The garage was built with extra height to accommodate a car lift. Trim and columns were finished with Azek, masonry piers and BBQ island, with a grill refrigerator and bar sink, constructed with Moca travertine veneers. The large free form swimming pool was built with concrete walls and a liner, a shallow deep end to accommodate the SRS Slide, 3 sheer descents built in the raised wall on the back side of the pool, concrete steps covered with a textured liner, a deep end bench, a standing ledge, an LED light, gas heater, salt water chlorine system, and full automation. Approximately 3,000 sq ft of Moca travertine pavers were used for the entire backyard, and the deck leading to the house was constructed with Timbertech.
