Gappsi was contracted to design and install a high-performance court that meets both recreational and aesthetic demands. The project involved several layers of expert-level engineering.  From the foundational structure to the finishing touches of paint and netting. Every element was chosen and executed with purpose.  Ensuring long-term use, low maintenance, and seamless integration into the surrounding environment.

Like all high-performance sports game courts, this project began from the ground up. The base of the pickleball court was constructed using recycled concrete.  A sustainable choice that provides a strong and stable foundation while reducing environmental impact. Recycled concrete offers excellent compaction and drainage, both of which are critical factors for any outdoor court. It also provides a smoother surface for the layers that follow.

On top of the recycled concrete base, two layers of asphalt were applied. This multi-layer asphalt installation ensures a level playing surface.  Helping to reduce surface cracks and enhancing the court’s longevity. By layering asphalt, the court gains improved durability and resistance to wear from both the elements and frequent use.  This is particularly important in high-traffic residential areas, such as this apartment complex in Patchogue.

Vibrant Court Surface with Laykold Paint

Once the asphalt was fully cured and leveled, the surface was painted using Laykold paint systems. It is one of the most recognized and trusted brands in the sports surfacing industry. The perimeter fencing was constructed using pressure-treated lumber for the posts and top rail, providing strong structural integrity and resistance to rot, moisture, and insects. To maintain a polished and uniform appearance across the entire apartment complex, the wooden elements were stained with black paint, matching existing fences around the property.

After the framing was complete, the netting itself was installed.  This ensures that the balls remain within the playing area and reduces the potential for interference or hazards from errant shots. This netting also helps maintain a professional, enclosed feel that players appreciate, especially in a community setting.

Pickleball Court Built in Glen Head NY

Gappsi recently built a pickleball sports game court in Glen Head NY. The Pickleball court was installed using a recycled concrete base and three and a half inches (3 1/2 inches) of compacted asphalt, then painted with California Sports Surfaces court paint.

We used a dark blue for the Pickleball court area and a dark green for the out-of-bounce area. The court was striped with white lines to finish it.  

We installed an adjustable Dominator multisport court netting. For this application, we adjusted the net for Pickleball. The client wanted the court to be just for Pickleball.  However, the extension can always be added to adjust the netting to be badminton or volleyball.

Our team installed an all-aluminum adjustable Dominator basketball hoop. The Dominator Hoop is a professional-grade, in-ground basketball hoop perfect for your home driveway, backward, playground, or more.

The landscape for the court was designed to resemble an English garden with boxwood edging that was installed all around the perimeter of the Pickleball Sports Game Court.  This is the latest sports game court built by Gappsi in Glen Head located in Nassau County NY.

Gappsi installed a pickleball sports game court in Hewlett Harbor NY. This sports game court has an asphalt base.  Our team installed Mateflex Tiles over the asphalt. Pickleball Court Contractor on long Island NY

Pickleball Court Contractor on long Island NYThis is our newest installation of a sports game court.  We installed two regulation pickleball courts side by side. fenced with a 8ft black chain link fence as an outer bound netting. We installed Nicolock adobe blend 6×9 as a border around the court over 6 inches of compacted rca base and 2 inches of compacted asphalt base. We installed removable pickleball netting  and the court was painted with asphalt paint known as tennis green. Striped with white lines to define the courts in the center area benches will be installed facing the courts. This is our latest installation of a sports game courts at the Bristles in Mount Sinai NY.
