The entrepreneurial pair of plasterers developed manufactured stone veneer: exact replicas of natural stones used for building, cast in flexible molds and hand colored with iron oxide pigments. Made of lightweight aggregate materials, the veneers were approximately one-quarter the weight of full-thickness stone and could be adhered to most wall surfaces Cultured Stone® manufactured stone veneers meet AC-51 criteria, the strictest requirements in the industry. Products are available in more than 21 textures and more than 100 colors and are available nationwide from more than 850 dealers. Concrete pools are truly custom-built and can be formed to virtually any size or shape also gunite pools, because concrete is shot from a gun onto steel-reinforced walls. Once the concrete cures it’s either: plastered smooth, painted, finished with a textured aggregate surface or tiled. Alternatively, a smaller percentage of concrete pools are formed and poured in a way similar to a house foundation. This technique, called structural concrete, is often used for pools built into hillsides.
It typically takes longer to install a concrete pool than any other kind—generally between three and 5 weeks—but it’s considered the strongest, most durable type of pool. In fact, there are many concrete pools still in use today that are well over 50 years old. And, unlike any other type of in ground pool, existing concrete pools can be remodeled, enlarged and updated.

Concrete wall Construction uses reusable aluminum forms assembled much like the steel walls. Skimmers, returns, lights and steps are all built within the forms. 4 Rows of rebar are placed in the forms to add tensile strength to the structure. 4000 PSI Concrete is then poured into the forms encasing everything in Cement. The forms are then stripped and removed from the site leaving a one piece concrete structure poured into any size or shape. The next step is the same for both concrete and steel wall construction. All underground plumbing for the skimmers and returns are run to the filter. The filter is set up. Gappsi pools uses Hayward, Jandy, AquaCal, Pentair and Polaris equipment. All plumbing is done in flexible PVC and rigid PVC. Some of the equipment that will be installed will include, Electric Heat pumps, Natural Gas and propane Heaters, Chlorine generators also known as salt systems, LED lights, Diatomaceous earth, sand & cartridge filters, Mineral purifiers such as the Frog system and Nature 2. Some pools will be built using automatic covers such as coverstar and cover pools. The liner is then installed on a sand base, vermiculite or hard bottom. Wall foam is installed under the liner to cushion and insulate. Steel wall Construction uses custom bent galvanized steel wall panels that should last a lifetime. The walls are assembled using all galvanized hardware. The walls are leveled and secured by A-Frame braces and a concrete footing around the entire perimeter along with a concrete collar around the pool that consists of 6 inches of poured concrete 3 feet wide all around the pool.
