East Hampton Gunite Swimming Pool Designer & Builder. This gunite swimming pool was designed and installed by Gappsi in East Hampton, NY. This pool design is a classic Hampton style with clean straight lines and bluestone coping for both the swimming pool and spill-over spa. The inside of the swimming pool incorporates corner steps and a straight bench along the 38 ft side of the swimming pool and on both sides of the spa. Bluestone coping was custom-cut 2 inches thick, 24 inches wide, and flamed. The pool coping and patio between pool and pool house was built with bluestone flagging. The gunite shell beam was shot 24 inches wide to accommodate the bluestone coping. And as a more classical look for the Hamptons area, natural grass was installed up to the edge of the pool coping.

Normally a coat of urethane finish is applied to further hardening the epoxy finish and also protect it from UV lights , mostly in vehicular trafficated areas, but in this case being in a basement there is no need to apply urethane because the floor in only used for kids playground and laundry room.

This backyard is designed and constructed by Gappsi in West Islip, Long island NY 11795. The layout incorporates a 18×36 gunite swimming pool rectangular shape. The swimming pool is only 6 feet deep and is a non-diving pool, thus a diving board cannot be installed. The steps are built along side the 18 foot long shallow area and it also has 2 benches in the deep end to exit the pool. The finish of the swimming pool is done with black-colored quartz dust. Two LED lights are installed on one side and the hydraulic system, consisting of two skimmers and 2 inch 40 schedule PVC [gravityform id=”1″ title=”true” description=”true”]plumbing.
Hayward equipment is installed including a gas heater, VS pump, cartridge filter, salt-chlorine generator, and an automation control panel. The swimming pool also has a safety auto cover and a mesh winter cover. The coping and patio consists of 2 inch thick, flamed Pennsylvania bluestone for the pool coping, and 1 inch flagging for the remainder of the patio. This swimming pool, backyard patio, and the house exterior renovation were designed by Giuseppe Abbrancati and installed by the Gappsi team. We decided to use 24×24 porcelain pavers. Porcelain pavers are very durable and require no maintenance; they are also very precise in size and thickness. Their color variations are also very consistent and the texture is very comfortable to walk on. The home owner wanted a modern and clean look, with a stucco finish for the exterior walls and a simple stack bond pattern for the patio. The colors were a perfect blend of light beige and the pool coping was made of sandblasted marble pavers. This highlighted the pool shape and also matched the white trim of the house.
This project also included the total renovation of the swimming pool. Starting with a liner change, an all new re-plumbing of skimmers and jets, a new light, a new filter pump, and a new heater. We also added an automation system with ozone and a salt-chlorine generator. The pool patio was made of old clay pavers and the pool wall were made of steel panels. We tied ½ inch rebar to the walls all around the pool and poured 4 inches of 3500 PSI concrete with fiber mesh mixed in it.
