The gunite swimming pool has a rectangular shell with a bench on the long side of the pool, a sundeck with a bubbler, steps, and a spa. Spillover water bowls also function as fire features. The swimming pool is 8 feet deep, and includes a diving board and a safety auto cover. The backyard is elegant, functional, and simple. The Fiorito travertine patio for the fire pit area, the pavilion floor, and the pool patio area were bordered with blue stone strips to match the swimming pool coping. The pavilion was built by Gappsi and was designed to match the house style and details. The outdoor kitchen was built with Wolf cabinets and Twin Eagle appliances, and it was veneered with Fiorito travertine to match the pillars that hold the fire bowls and the fire-pit. Safety Mesh Winter Pool Covers – Installers & Specialists – Long Island, NY
Mesh covers are the most common way to safeguard your pool during the winter. A winter cover has to be strong and made of good quality material. There are many manufactures of pool liners and mesh safety covers, and mesh covers can be ordered according to the initial pool liner measurements.

Swimming pool winter covers installed by Gappsi will give you all the protection, security, and safety you need for your family, pets, and neighbors. Winter pool covers are manufactured to let the water from the rain drain through. Also, it allows you to put your pump in the middle of the cover and allow the extra water in the pool to come through and get pumped out. Winter covers are manufactured in all mesh or solid rubber with a 24×24 mesh hole in the center to let water drain into the pool. Anchors are installed in the patio about 36 inches away from the swimming pool. The way they are installed is by drilling a hole in the patio, brass anchors are slid through, and the cover is then attached to the anchors. If the patio is not installed correctly, the cover may become loose and it will not be as safe as it should be.
The Gappsi way of installation starts with the proper installation of the patio. Four foot wide slabs with reinforced rebar are always installed around the swimming pool to prevent settling of the patio, then the finished paving material is installed over the concrete base. The Gappsi installation of the safety pool cover is then installed over the patio by drilling holes straight through the finished paving material all the way down into the concrete base. A sleeve is installed into the hole about 6 inches into the patio going through the 4 inches of concrete base and further in the ground, and a brass screw pin is then installed into the pipe. By unscrewing the brass screw pin; it comes up above the patio and allows for the cover ring hooks to attach to the brass screw. After this is all done for every strap of the cover, your Gappsi installed pool cover is safe to walk on with no chance of breaking.

Gappsi built this structure in Nesconset, NY to cover a BBQ/bar island sitting area, and protect the residents from the sun and rain. The columns, ceiling, and trim work, was all done with Azek. The bar island structure was built with masonry blocks and cultured stones; the patio below the pavilion, the pool patio, and coping were paved with 12″x18″ flamed granite pavers. The swimming pool, equipped with an auto cover, was also installed by Gappsi.

Giuseppe and his staff at Gappsi helped us to create our own vacation resort right in our backyard. The quality, attention to detail, and craftsmanship of his work was truly outstanding. He and his team were exceptionally professional and respectful as well as attentive to all of our needs and concerns. Gappsi installed a oversized free formed pool in our back yard, with spill over spas positioned on a second level patio built right next to the swimming pool. The crab orchard mini colonial wall used for the raised patio walls and light piers blend with the natural colors of the random pattern travertine as they were meant to be together. The pool patio height was built one step down from my existing paving stone patio in my back yard, and the hot tub area was built 3 steps up from the pool patio creating enough height for the water from the spillover to fall in to the pool and creating a very pleasant running water affect. Also 4 lions head wall sconces were installed, 2 on each side of the spa spillover. a jandy heater ,jandy salt chlorinator system, a polaris pool cleaner and a state of the art control system that runs all the pool equipment as well as the sprinkler system and the outdoor lights. after the installation of the back yard pool patio we went farther and had Gappsi install a new driveway in the front of the house and 2 walk ways to the back yard one on each side of the house with nicolock stone ridge in oyster blend Gappsi also designed and installed the entire landscape from trees to flower and sod the entire front and back yards. from designing to the last question of the project we did not have to deal with anyone else but Gappsi and the last thing that was done was the installation of the loop lock cover this fall .
