Mateflex is a suspended tile court system designed to be assembled on top of a flat, hard surface. Many of the courts that we offer go over existing concrete slabs, driveways, or other hard surfaces, Often the projects require the construction of a court base. Gappsi recommends 3 primary base options.

Pickleball Court in Queens NY

Gappsi recently built a custom pickleball court in Queens NY. This sports game court was custom-sized to fit an existing oval area. The court was built with a recycled concrete base and Mateflex tiles in two different blue colors; darker and lighter blue then striped with white lines. The court was built for the Parker Jewish Institute Rehabilitation Center in Queens NY. We installed synthetic turf and trimmed it to fill the space between the court and the existing concrete. The court is also surrounded by a walking track. Tiles have a very nice grip, making it safer for the players. This is the latest Gappsi Sports Game Court built in Queens NY.

The Pickleball – Pickleball is similar to a wiffleball, but it is made with a more rigid, heavy material and has smaller holes. The common practice is to play outdoors with yellow or orange balls and indoors with white balls, but anything goes. Pickable Sports Game Courts Located In Hewlett Harbor Long Island NY

Gappsi installed a pickleball sports game court in Hewlett Harbor NY. This sports game court has an asphalt base.  Our team installed Mateflex Tiles over the asphalt. The tile colors used were forest green for the out-of-bounce area, then sports green for the inside of the pickable court. In addition, we stripped the court with white lines and installed pickable netting. Our clients are very happy with the finished court. Multi Sports Game Courts Company | Quogue NY 11959

multi sport courts company | Quogue NY 11959Multi-sports game courts company serving Quogue NY, 11959  Gappsi designed and installed this multi-sports games courts field for a resident in Quogue NY. Using a combination of synthetic turf, first, Acadia synthetic grass was installed directly onto the existing asphalt base. The old asphalt court was repaired and re-leveled in the many areas that were damaged, primarily the outside edges. The 20×44 pickle ball court was positioned closer to the house making it more visible from the backyard patio. 
The pickleball court was installed using Mateflex tiles.

We used blue color for the field and charcoal gray for the 2-foot wide border all around. The court was then striped with white lines, and lastly, the netting was installed at standard regulation height for a pickle-ball court – 36 inches – and it was mounted on permanent fixed poles.

The basketball court was also built with Mateflex tiles – dark blue tiles for the court and lighter blue for the key area. The hoop installed is a Pro Dunk hoop of regulation size and also adjustable to fit any age player. The putting green was positioned in the far back corner, cut into an oval shape, and also in a small size with 2 holes and flags. All of the synthetic turf is filled with silica sand at a ratio of 2 pounds per sq ft. The weight of the sand helps to keep the synthetic grass down and prevents it from shifting during activities on it. 

The project was planned with the design to create all these sports activities by removing an old, full-size basketball court built next to a clay tennis court. The new homeowners loved the idea of a multi-function sports game court, rather than a single large basketball court. Basketball Court Syosset NY-Supplier-Installer

Basketball Court Syosset NY-Supplier-InstallerThis basketball court was installed in Syosset Long Island NY by Gappsi. Starting with the location to best fit the 30 x 60 court and the swimming pool area  within the already landscaped yard. The construction of the base for the court consists of 6 inches of recycled concrete base and 2 inches of compacted asphalt. It was then sealed, with a 6 x 9 masonry border around the edges. A full size adjustable hoop was also installed. Mateflex tiles modular outdoor flooring tiles were installed over the asphalt, stretched, and then secured all around the perimeter to create an expandable and contracting court floor. A combination of blue and gray colors are selected for the tiles with white striping to outline the Basketball and the pickle ball court., a complete key, a 3-point line, and a capital “S” is printed in the center of the court that stands for the owner’s last name. Volleyball/pickle ball lines are also marked on the tile and the adjustable net was installed in the middle of the court. 

 
The court was installed in a section of the backyard that was not utilized by the homeowner for any other use. The basketball court fit perfectly and turned this area into a very active sports area for the whole family to enjoy. The Mateflex tiles are the best in the industry. They are manufactured in 12 x 12 inch tiles that are then divided into 16 individual 3 x 3 sections attached to each other with an expansion joint system allowing the court to flex and prevent the tiles from warping in hot and cold weather situation.
