Gappsi built a 20 x 40 vinyl swimming pool as well as a large pavilion built on a raised patio. This area can alternatively be used to place a dinner table and a seating area. In addition, this includes an outdoor kitchen incorporating Twin Eagle appliances. All of the patios were paved with French Pattern Silver Travertine in addition to the pool coping and step treads were built with Moca Travertine. The pavilion is completed with Azek synthetic trims and columns, vinyl soffits, and siding to match the existing house. Lastly, a mesh safety fence was installed around swimming pool.

The old railroad tie retaining wall was removed and re-constructed with a poured reinforced-concrete wall. It was then veneered with tumbled travertine split-face veneers and finished on top with 12 inch wide, 2 inch thick travertine coping. Sheer descent water features were also installed in the wall over the center spilling into the pool.

This backyard is designed and constructed by Gappsi in West Islip, Long island NY 11795. The layout incorporates a 18×36 gunite swimming pool rectangular shape. The swimming pool is only 6 feet deep and is a non-diving pool, thus a diving board cannot be installed. The steps are built along side the 18 foot long shallow area and it also has 2 benches in the deep end to exit the pool. The finish of the swimming pool is done with black-colored quartz dust. Two LED lights are installed on one side and the hydraulic system, consisting of two skimmers and 2 inch 40 schedule PVC [gravityform id=”1″ title=”true” description=”true”]plumbing.
Hayward equipment is installed including a gas heater, VS pump, cartridge filter, salt-chlorine generator, and an automation control panel. The swimming pool also has a safety auto cover and a mesh winter cover. The layout incorporates a lower patio, a fire pit area with a sitting wall, and a bar area with a pergola built over it. The upper patio is one step down from the backyard sliding doors, making it very easy and comfortable walking out into the backyard. A flowerbed defines the edge of the patio allowing room for flowers and a birdbath fountain. The main use of the raised patio is to accommodate the main large dining table and the cooking island for the grill and other outdoor appliances. Manufactured retaining walls were used to create the elevations and structure for the steps, columns, sitting walls, cooking island, and bar island. The floors were paved with ivory travertine, containing a color scheme of browns, beige, and white colors, to ornate this detailed and functional backyard setting.
