This residential project was designed and installed by Gappsi in Lindenhurst NY. From the driveway apron to the backyard patio, a combination of many colors and patterns were used to create inlays and designs. Granite City Stone Ridge Pavers were installed on the driveway apron, the concrete sidewalk was replaced, and the inlay with pewter colored plank paver and charcoal border outlines the driveway, walkway, and circle inlay. Granite City Mini Colonial wall was installed on the front stoop with bluestone copings. A combination of Granite City and Westchester blend was used to pave the driveway up to the backyard entrance.
The backyard incorporates two levels of patio, both paved with Travertina Alpine Ridge pavers. A raised patio and firepit were built with the Travertina Mini Colonial wall and the fire pit was built with the Verona wall system. The outdoor kitchen on the raised patio was also built with a Mini Colonial wall and the columns are capped with 3 inch manufactured precast caps. A Gappsi bocce court was also installed next to the patio with a step down into the court from the patio level. It was built with pressure treated lumber and Gappsi bocce grass for the floor.

Gappsi remodeled this gunite swimming pool in Laurel Hollow in Nassau County Long Island, NY. The original pool was a custom shape with a roman end bump out in the shallow area and inverted corners in the deep end. We reshaped the pool shell to be a rectangular pool to accommodate an autocover installation, new wedding cake shaped steps, and a bench were built in the shallow area along with 2 corner benches in the deep end. We installed 6 inch high 1×1 inch tiles as water line markers on the step edges and a tile mosaic design of dolphins playing with a ball on the pool floor. New honed Indiana limestone coping was installed and a shot-blasted finished large random pattern sandstone was used for the patio around the swimming pool. All new equipment was installed including the Aquacal heat pump, new pentair VS pump and cartridge filter, a salt chlorine generator, and an ozone UV light sanitizer. A new slide was installed for the kids with the autocover to make this pool safe, low maintenance, and energy efficient.
We are in the process of installing the patio. We are using our newest addition to the natural stone line. The G044 is a blue and white limestone with beautiful color arrangements in it. it’s been laid out in a French pattern. We installed two fire and water features, they are going to spill over into the pool after the pool is completed and running. The water fall is almost complete. Flower Beds are left here to put evergreens and create some privacy. This is where the kids are going to be diving into the pool. Once it is all completed. The slide is being installed. The pavilion is almost completed, we have to finish with the azek. The landscaping will be next, and it will be done in about two weeks. On the wall we used split face travertine veneers, the outdoor kitchen will be built in this area. We will update you next when the project is totally complete.
