IT STILL LOOKS NEW When we met Guiseppe almost 7 years ago, I was struck by his attention to detail and willingness to listen to our ideas. Although we really were not quite sure what we wanted we knew what we didn’t want, and that was mediocre work. Gappsi transformed our home with a tastefully done walk and driveway which led to our double door entry, achieving a very grand look. We also challenged Guiseppe to incorporate an existing gunite pool to have new coping and a free form patio with multi level walks and landings. His workers were extremely skilled and polite. This is a first class company and we are thrilled with his talent and workmanship.

Backyard Resort… Giuseppe and his staff at Gappsi helped us to create our own vacation resort right in our backyard. The quality, attention to detail, and craftsmanship of his work was truly outstanding. He and his team were exceptionally professional and respectful as well as attentive to all of our needs and concerns. Gappsi installed a oversized free formed pool in our back yard, with spill over spas positioned on a second level patio built right next to the swimming pool. The crab orchard mini colonial wall used for the raised patio walls and light piers blend with the the naturale colors of the random pattern travertine as they where meant to be together. The pool patio height was built one step down from my existing paving stone patio in my back yard, and the hut tub area was built 3 steps up from the pool patio creating enough height for the water from the spillover to fall in to the pool and creating a very pleasant running water affect. Also 4 lions head wall sconces were installed, 2 on each side of the spa spillover. a jandy heater ,jandy salt chlorinator system, a polaris pool cleaner and a state of the art control system that runs all the pool equipment as well as the sprinkle system and the out door lights.after the installation of the back yard pool patio we went farther and had gappsi install a new driveway in the front of the house and 2 walk ways to the back yard one on each side of the house with nicolock stone ridge in oyster blend Gappsi also designed and installed the entire landscape from trees to flower and sod the entire front and back yards. from designing to the last question of the project we did not have to deal with anyone else but gappsi and the last thing that was done was the installation of the loop lock cover this fall . We would highly recommend Gappsi over and over again with no hesitation. Lou & Emilie Calixte, Lake Grove, NY

Gappsi has completed two major projects for us in the past several years. Giuseppe Abbrancati created our back patio 7 years ago and it looked like the ones in all of the catalogs – still does. This is no coincidence since most of those gorgeous patios you see in Nicolock catalogs were built by Giuseppe. When it came time to install an in-ground pool, we called Giuseppe right away. Once again, the back yard was transformed into something out of a magazine. Everyone comments on how beautiful the pool and waterfall are and how the patio ties it all together. The best part however, is that both projects started and ended on time. They were here everyday by 8AM and worked a full day. There were none of the horror stories you usually hear about contractors not showing up for days at a time. It is a truly professional operation. Mike And Judy Vignola

We were planning on getting a swimming pool for many years, and therefore had many, estimates by other pool companies. I originally had no idea that Gappsi installed pools, until a friend recommended Giuseppe. We called on a Saturday morning to set up an estimate and Giuseppe showed up at 2 pm that day! Because of Giuseppe’s clear vision and honesty in explaining the cost of everything, we were sold. We started the permit process and the pool was started 1 week after getting the permits. We have 4 children who were more than anxious for their pool to be done. The hole was dug on May 5th and my kids were swimming in their pool on June 6th. As for the paving….the job was far superior to any other paving job we have had done. The men were meticulous and extremely professional…every cut is perfect. As a matter of fact, I don’t even want the loop-loc cover because I don’t want metal screws drilled into my perfectly beautiful patio! I have recommended Gappsi to my friends and family and will continue to do so. Thank you Giuseppe for the beautiful addition to our back yard! The Morawski Family
Find Out About the Many Amazing Stone Fountains Available on Long Island
Natural stone is one of the most popular ways to decorate any backyard or garden along with fountains, so of course stone fountains are a very popular choice. The types of stone fountains out there are just about as limitless as your imagination, and they are made using all sorts of different stones. In addition these stone fountains can serve a number of purposes, along with being a great decorative item.
Types of stone fountains
The materials used for stone fountains are as varied as the types of stones for any garden or backyard decoration including travertine, granite, limestone, sandstone and more. In addition many of these fountains are actually molded from ceramic, or are made from concrete molds. The differences between these options are many. Obviously natural stone, especially from a solid piece, is more expensive, more durable, and many argue more beautiful. This is not to say that less expensive options cannot also be very attractive. Other materials are far more common due both to price and availability. Another difference is how durable the fountain is. Most quality stone fountains are able to stand up to all kinds of increment weather and even the occasional topple and other backyard accident, however those made of real stone of course are considerably more durable, lasting for years and practically indestructible.
Next is the design of the fountain. The fountain assumes moving water, which means there is a pump in place. Sometimes this is a free standing fountain, other times it must be hooked up to some power source. The actual design can vary however, the most popular is a style resembling a bird bath, but the options are endless. You’ll find stone fountains in the shape of statues, like peeing seraph or little angels with water coming forth from their mouth. Animal shapes are also common for this type of fountain. Sometimes these will be in the shape of a woman pouring a jug of water or some other creative scene. Some stone fountains take on more the look of a waterfall, with the water flowing over a stone surface creating a soothing gurgling, bubbling sound, or a flowing stream with a similar but more calming effect.
Why should I get a stone fountain?
Of course whether to put in a stone fountain is primarily a matter of taste. Most find them to be very relaxing and the perfect addition to their backyard or garden. They often double as a convenient bird bath for those who enjoy watching fowl and they can act as a center piece to a garden area.
How much should stone fountains cost?
Many are surprised by just how inexpensive some stone fountains can be. Smaller ceramic models are often available for around a hundred dollars, or even less. Large fountains made of real stone may cost much more, and many times these will need to be professionally installed. One common feature is that all stone fountains can add beauty and value to your home.
