16×32 Vinyl pool, with concrete walls. We Build two corner stairs in the shallow area. To create a larger shallow area and a flat wall between the two steps for swimmers to flip . The autocover rolled into the G44 blue limestone pavers and coping. Very popular and famous limestone. We completed the all backyard with synthetic grass, which also works as a patio. We build a basketball court with metflex tiles over a concrete base. We utilized every inch of the backyard to make more of a playground for the kids.
Gunite Pool Remodeled in Laurel Hollow NY
Gappsi remodeled this gunite swimming pool in Laurel Hollow in Nassau County Long Island, NY. The original pool was a custom shape with a roman end bump out in the shallow area and inverted corners in the deep end. We reshaped the pool shell to be a rectangular pool to accommodate an autocover installation, new wedding cake shaped steps, and a bench were built in the shallow area along with 2 corner benches in the deep end. We installed 6 inch high 1×1 inch tiles as water line markers on the step edges and a tile mosaic design of dolphins playing with a ball on the pool floor. New honed Indiana limestone coping was installed and a shot-blasted finished large random pattern sandstone was used for the patio around the swimming pool. All new equipment was installed including the Aquacal heat pump, new pentair VS pump and cartridge filter, a salt chlorine generator, and an ozone UV light sanitizer. A new slide was installed for the kids with the autocover to make this pool safe, low maintenance, and energy efficient.
Gunite Swimming Pool & Backyard Designer in Merrick NY
This small backyard was designed by Giuseppe Abbrancati and installed by Gappsi in Merrick, Long Island NY in 2018 on a spectacular waterfront property. The layout incorporates a gunite swimming pool with a spa, corner stairs, benches, and sheer descent water features that were installed along one side of the pool facing the house. The pool also has a safety auto cover, automation system, LED lights, salt chlorine generator, and an ozone system.
The pool finish consists of Diamond Brite French Gray with tile markers installed at the edges of the steps and benches. Pennsylvania blue-stone was used for the coping and the patio was paved with Pompeii limestone selected from Gappsi showroom. A gas fire pit was installed on the circular shaped patio and Acadia Go-Green synthetic turf was used to cover the remaining yard space. The deck was modified to accommodate the new backyard layout.

This 16′ by 32′ vinyl pool was built with concrete walls and liner. The pool has steps across the full width of the shallow end and a standing ledge/two corner benches in the deep end. The pool is also equipped with an auto cover. Stoops were built by backyard sliding doors with platforms and several steps going down to the backyard level. Patio pavers and pool coping used were Griggio Dorato travertine pavers selected from the Gappsi stone collection. The travertine colors vary in grays, beige, whites, and blacks. It has a very soft marbleized style that can compliment any home sidings and backyard furniture. This 18’x40’ gunite swimming pool is equipped with an auto cover, sun deck, bubbler, and a built-in spillover spa. The swimming pool has midnight blue diamond bright gunite finish. Pool coping is custom cut Pennsylvania blue stone. Because of the property slope, one side of the pool is exposed. Patio consists of mocha travertine selected from the Gappsi stone collection.
