East Hampton Gunite Swimming Pool Designer & Builder. This gunite swimming pool was designed and installed by Gappsi in East Hampton, NY. This pool design is a classic Hampton style with clean straight lines and bluestone coping for both the swimming pool and spill-over spa. The inside of the swimming pool incorporates corner steps and a straight bench along the 38 ft side of the swimming pool and on both sides of the spa. Bluestone coping was custom-cut 2 inches thick, 24 inches wide, and flamed. The pool coping and patio between pool and pool house was built with bluestone flagging. The gunite shell beam was shot 24 inches wide to accommodate the bluestone coping. And as a more classical look for the Hamptons area, natural grass was installed up to the edge of the pool coping.
This swimming pool, backyard patio, and the house exterior renovation were designed by Giuseppe Abbrancati and installed by the Gappsi team. We decided to use 24×24 porcelain pavers. Porcelain pavers are very durable and require no maintenance; they are also very precise in size and thickness. Their color variations are also very consistent and the texture is very comfortable to walk on. The home owner wanted a modern and clean look, with a stucco finish for the exterior walls and a simple stack bond pattern for the patio. The colors were a perfect blend of light beige and the pool coping was made of sandblasted marble pavers. This highlighted the pool shape and also matched the white trim of the house.

Swimming pool and Retaining wall Built by Gappsi in Woodbury NY, with Travertine patio and coping. Refurbished with the cleaning and sealing process. Using low pressure hot water the paver’s surface gets clean uniformly with no impact of wear on the stone surface. The joints in between the pavers got filled with high quality polymeric sand and vibrated with heavy mechanical plate compactor with rubber rolling system to prevent pavers from getting scratched or damaged. Yes! All concrete and paver surfaces should be cleaned before applying any sealer coating. It is very important that the surface is clean because any stains or materials that get trapped under the sealer will not be able to be cleaned after it’s sealed. Pressure washing pavers is just as important as sealing it.
