This is a cappuccino porcelain paver in a large random pattern with flamed Granite coping. This was a pool remodeling. The porcelain is wet so you can see it is a little shiny. The patio was just cleaned. It is all ready for the season for the homeowner to enjoy the pool. This was a vinyl pool renovation. We had to re do the plumbing of the pool and installed a new patio.
This residential project was designed and installed by Gappsi in Lindenhurst NY. From the driveway apron to the backyard patio, a combination of many colors and patterns were used to create inlays and designs. Granite City Stone Ridge Pavers were installed on the driveway apron, the concrete sidewalk was replaced, and the inlay with pewter colored plank paver and charcoal border outlines the driveway, walkway, and circle inlay. Granite City Mini Colonial wall was installed on the front stoop with bluestone copings. A combination of Granite City and Westchester blend was used to pave the driveway up to the backyard entrance.
Gappsi remodeled this gunite swimming pool in Laurel Hollow in Nassau County Long Island, NY. The original pool was a custom shape with a roman end bump out in the shallow area and inverted corners in the deep end. We reshaped the pool shell to be a rectangular pool to accommodate an autocover installation, new wedding cake shaped steps, and a bench were built in the shallow area along with 2 corner benches in the deep end. We installed 6 inch high 1×1 inch tiles as water line markers on the step edges and a tile mosaic design of dolphins playing with a ball on the pool floor. New honed Indiana limestone coping was installed and a shot-blasted finished large random pattern sandstone was used for the patio around the swimming pool. All new equipment was installed including the Aquacal heat pump, new pentair VS pump and cartridge filter, a salt chlorine generator, and an ozone UV light sanitizer. A new slide was installed for the kids with the autocover to make this pool safe, low maintenance, and energy efficient.
We have started our 2020 cleaning and sealing season rejuvenating the Gappsi showroom parking lot in Smithtown NY located in Suffolk County on Long Island. We are using hot water on low pressure and surface cleaner to remove dirt and residue of oil and other debris collected in the crevices of the pavers surface. We are also using a rotary wand to loosen the dirt collected in between the joints of the pavers. This is a large parking lot built with Nicolock pavers, and the colors of the paving stones are still very nice even after 15 years of being exposed to the elements and vehicular traffic. Nicolock manufactures high-quality concrete products that withstand the test of time. But as any other concrete products, concrete is corrosive and it weathers when exposed to the elements like the Sun’s heat, the rain and snow, and also to the calcium chloride and ice melters used during freezing times. After completing the cleaning of the entire paver parking lot, we filled the pavers joints with haze-free polymeric sand and vibrated it with a mechanical plate compactors to allow the sand to settle in and completely fill the joints. We spray water on the pavers to allow the sand to get wet, letting the water saturate the sand all the way through the bottom of the joint, and also wash off the pavers surface.
