Epoxy Floors Applicators East-Northport Long Island NYFirst step was the grinding of the floor, to remove the existing asbestos tiles and the asphalt tar used to glue them to the concrete, special diamond blade  capable of removing paint and scarifying the concrete to create a textured evenly and abrasive ready for the epoxy VRM Vapor reduction * PE -100 pigmented Tan membrane to stick to it.
Saddle Tan Colored Chips Broadcasted in to the epoxy Base while wet and then let is dry for 24 hours. After the epoxy is cured the access vinyl flakes were removed and floor vacuumed. A final coat of PE-100 Clear Top Coated the flakes totally covering them and giving the floor a very smooth texture finish.
Normally a coat of urethane finish is applied to further hardening the epoxy finish and also protect it from UV lights , mostly in vehicular trafficated areas, but in this case being in a basement there is no need to apply urethane because the floor in only used for kids playground and laundry room.

The back and front yard masonry design of this private residence in West Islip, NY provides functionality and accommodates all elements in its layout. This includes a U-shaped cooking island built with Nicolock adobe blend terra wall. It is covered with a PVC pergola for shade, a granite counter top, a wood burning oven, a gas grill refrigerator, an ice maker, a sink, and many storage cabinets.

Backyard Masonry

The patio is built raised two steps up from the grass area. The perimeter walls are built with Nicolock oyster blend mini-colonial walls and capped with granite city colonial caps. In many places, the walls are built up to create accent columns to hold the light fixtures and sitting walls. The fire pit area is built in a circular shape with a comfortable bench built within the walls. The patio is built with XL stone ridge adobe blend pavers and a double border design with granite city roma pavers. This patio area is large enough to accommodate many table.

Frontyard Masonry

Walkways on both side of the house are built to connect to the circular driveway Adobe blend stone ridge pavers are installed over 1 inch of sand and 8 inches of state approved grade recycled concrete base. The layout includes a double border design with circle fan inlays in the driveway aprons, 2 light piers installed on each side of the driveway, and aprons veneered with Boral cultured stone matching the house exterior walls. Bluestone caps and treads were used for the cumulus, front door steps, and porch.

The layout incorporates a lower patio, a fire pit area with a sitting wall, and a bar area with a pergola built over it. This provides shade from the sun and accents the sitting area and the bar island. The upper patio is one step down from the backyard sliding doors, making it very easy and comfortable walking out into the backyard. A flowerbed defines the edge of the patio allowing room for flowers and a birdbath fountain. The main use of the raised patio is to accommodate the main large dining table and the cooking island for the grill and other outdoor appliances. Manufactured retaining walls were used to create the elevations and structure for the steps, columns, sitting walls, cooking island, and bar island. The floors were paved with ivory travertine, containing a color scheme of browns, beige, and white colors, to ornate this detailed and functional backyard setting.

We hired Gappsi this summer to do a complete backyard project. We chose a free form in-ground vinyl pool, travertine patio, composite deck and full landscaping. From the moment we met Giuseppe to go over initial designs, the process was great. He helped us come up with a design that fits our relatively small space, and accommodated all of our “on the fly” change requests without a question. We worked with Tosh and his crew to do the liner/equipment/plumbing, Greg and his crew for the patio/deck, and Joe and his crew for the landscaping. In all cases, when talking with any of these guys or Giuseppe himself, the communication is what put this experience over the top. I feel they truly listened to what we wanted and did not try to push their ideas on us. Beyond that, they did not hesitate to take calls and/or return text messages at time/day of the week. Combine that with the quality of the work and the final result, and you end up with an overall great experience. Plan on using any/or of these guys again for other projects!
