Nicolock Paving Stones Installation

Nicolock Paving Stones InstallationThis residential project was designed and installed by Gappsi in Lindenhurst NY. From the driveway apron to the backyard patio, a combination of many colors and patterns were used to create inlays and designs. Granite City Stone Ridge Pavers were installed on the driveway apron, the concrete sidewalk was replaced, and the inlay with pewter colored plank paver and charcoal border outlines the driveway, walkway, and circle inlay. Granite City Mini Colonial wall was installed on the front stoop with bluestone copings. A combination of Granite City and Westchester blend was used to pave the driveway up to the backyard entrance.

The backyard incorporates two levels of patio, both paved with Travertina Alpine Ridge pavers. A raised patio and firepit were built with the Travertina Mini Colonial wall and the fire pit was built with the Verona wall system. The outdoor kitchen on the raised patio was also built with a Mini Colonial wall and the columns are capped with 3 inch manufactured precast caps. Gunite Pool Lake Grove: A Backyard Transformation

Sometimes, the best way to understand what’s possible is to see a project come to life. Let’s take a closer look at one of our recent installations, a complete backyard transformation centered around a custom gunite pool in Lake Grove. This G44 design will feature a Super Blue Diamond Brite finish that makes the water sparkle. But the pool is just the beginning. We integrated a separate waterfall for soothing sounds, a fun slide for the kids, and a spacious patio for lounging. The space is anchored by a custom-built Azek pavilion complete with an outdoor kitchen, creating the ultimate destination for entertainment and relaxation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a project of this scale typically take from start to finish? A complete backyard transformation involves several phases, from design and permits to excavation and finishing touches. The exact timeline can vary depending on the complexity of the project and the specific features you choose. We work closely with you to establish a clear and realistic schedule from the very beginning so you always know what to expect.

Why did you choose gunite for this pool, and what are its advantages? We often recommend gunite for custom pools because it offers incredible design flexibility. Since gunite is applied on-site, we can create virtually any shape, size, or depth you can imagine, easily incorporating features like built-in benches or tanning ledges. It’s also exceptionally durable, resulting in a solid, long-lasting structure.

How do you make sure separate features like the pool, waterfall, and pavilion all look like they belong together? This is where our integrated design and construction process makes all the difference. Our teams—from pool specialists to masons and landscape architects—collaborate from day one. This unified approach ensures every single element, from the patio stone to the pavilion’s placement, works together to create a cohesive and beautifully designed outdoor living space.

What is the maintenance like for a pool with a Diamond Brite finish? A Diamond Brite finish is a fantastic choice because it’s not only beautiful but also very durable and stain-resistant. Its smooth surface naturally resists algae growth, which simplifies routine cleaning. While you’ll still need to perform regular chemical balancing and brushing, the resilient finish helps keep the pool looking pristine with standard care.

Do I have to commit to a full backyard renovation, or can Gappsi handle smaller individual projects? While we love bringing large-scale transformations to life, we absolutely handle individual projects. Whether you’re looking to install a new paver patio, build a pergola, or add an outdoor kitchen to your existing space, we bring the same level of dedication and craftsmanship to every job, no matter the size.

Key Takeaways

  • Integrate Your Entertainment and Relaxation Zones: A pool is a great start, but a truly complete backyard combines different areas. Consider how a custom pavilion, an outdoor kitchen, and dedicated lounging spaces can work together to create a seamless outdoor living experience.
  • Focus on High-Impact Custom Details: Small choices make a big difference in the final look and feel. Details like a specific pool finish or a custom-built pavilion are what transform a standard project into a personalized retreat that reflects your style.
  • Balance Fun with Functionality: The best backyard designs serve everyone in the family. By planning for both active fun, like a pool slide, and practical entertaining, like a well-equipped outdoor kitchen, you create a versatile space that works for any occasion.
