Kitchen Remodeled In East Northport NY 11731

Kitchen Remodeled In East Northport NY 11731This kitchen remodeling started with an all new room layout, by removing middle partitions that divided the dining and cooking area we combined the rooms into an open space layout. With the elimination of the walls and installation of a new larger window, we allowed more light to come into the house. All new custom-wood kitchen cabinets in two tones of beige for the hood and the island and dark cherry for all other cabinets were installed. Tumbled travertine tiles were installed for the back-splash, and matte-finish seashell limestone counters were installed for both cabinets and the center island. A beam molding, protruding down from the ceilings defining the slopes and angles, was constructed and stained to match the kitchen cabinets and refinished wood floors. Porcelain plank tiles were installed from front door entrance throughout the kitchen area leading into the family room. These porcelain plank tiles are durable, withstand high heat, and also creates a clear definition for the couch and table areas.

Home Remodeling Company Old Brookville NY

Home Remodeling Company Old Brookville NYThis house was remodeled by Gappsi. The front door portico was redesigned and built elongated to cover the front steps and entrance way. The soffit in a shape of a dome was covered in synthetic 2-inch white strips with the columns having a trim design. A new front metal door was installed with a stucco molding trim, which compliments the window molding and beige stucco finish on the center part of the house. Natural quartz stone veneers were installed 4 ft high throughout the front of the house – below the stucco and all the way to the top under the soffit on both ends. Gappsi designed and installed the whole project, including the landscaping, walkways, and patios.

Epoxy Floors Design and Installation Long Island NY

Epoxy Floors Design and Installation Long Island NYEpoxy Floors

Epoxy floors have become very popular in the past decade. The versatility of the material is unmatched by any other product. There is an unbelievable variety in color, and the finishes vary from rustic-working-garage type flooring finishes, to elegant marbleized hotel lobbies or residential homes. Gappsi provides epoxy floors solutions to all residents on Long Island for both Nassau and Suffolk Counties in NY.  Get  your epoxy products installed by a reputable company.

Installation Process

In this basement we removed asbestos tiles that were glued down with liquid asphalt. The concrete floor was then grinded down to remove the tar and prepare the surface for the installation of the vapor barrier coating. Right after the first application of epoxy yellow vinyl, flakes were thrown widely in the wet epoxy and were left to stick and dry for the next 24 hours. The next step was to vacuum the loose vinyl flakes off the floor and lightly scrape the floor to flatten the surface. The final step was to apply a clear coat of the epoxy over the vinyl flakes. This gives the floor a smooth finish and covering the flakes prevents them from getting ripped off the floor. In this basement we did not apply any hardener coat over the epoxy because the floor is not used for vehicular traffic. In a garage floor or any vehicular trafficked area, a layer of urethane would need to be applied to harden the surface of the epoxy finish. This last process prolongs the wearing of the floor and also protects it from any UV light coming through the window and doors. Gappsi provides Epoxy floors solutions to all residents on Long Island for both Nassau and Suffolk County NY.

Custom kitchen, Interior Designing and Decorating Services By Lillian Cassi At Gappsi.

This was a 1960’s kitchen that was in desperate need of a makeover. We closed up the back door and put in a smaller window to create a functional “L” shaped kitchen. The Island seats 3, provides additional storage and includes a microwave.
The addition of a sliding door in the adjacent dining room allows entry to an outside deck.
Furnished with Grohe faucet, Samsung appliances, Quartz countertops, Hudson light pendants,
The homeowner is thrilled with their updated modern kitchen.
