Asphalt basketball court company | Long Island NY

Asphalt basketball court company | Long Island NY Asphalt basketball court company on Long Island NY, servicing both Nassau and Suffolk County located in Smithtown. Gappsi offers complete services from design to installation of basketball courts. Asphalt basketball courts are very comfortable and safe to play on. The texture of asphalt makes it anti-slip in dry or wet weather. If you are looking for an Asphalt basketball court company near you, Gappsi personnel are well educated and knowledgeable about constructing asphalt courts. Most common courts built using asphalt are basketball, tennis, pickleball, and volleyball courts. Asphalt flooring is used for commercial municipal installation, but also for residential and private backyards too. Asphalt doesn’t require maintenance. Its black in color when it is newly installed and with time it weathers into a grayish color. It can be sealed, or it can also be painted with special asphalt paint in your desired colors, and striped to outline the court regulation lines. When a court is painted, the texture can become smoother and it could get a little slippery. It is recommended that a slip-resistant product is mixed with the paint before it is applied on the asphalt court. Gappsi, your professional Asphalt basketball court company, can create the court of your dreams at a great price, value, and top quality construction.

In this particular installation we built a 30 x 30 basketball court. Eight inches of soil was excavated and removed from the site, then six inches of recycled concrete base was installed and compacted with a heavy mechanical plate. A 6×9 Nicolock paving stone border was installed around the perimeter to outline the edge of the court, which also reinforces the asphalt and keeps it from cracking in the future. An adjustable, regulation-size basketball hoop was installed, and across from it on the other side of the court, a flood light was installed on a 14 ft tall pole for the homeowners to be able to use the court at night. A net can also be attached to the poles to play volleyball. The asphalt was left unpainted and unsealed at the client request.

multi sport courts company | Quogue NY 11959

multi sport courts company | Quogue NY 11959Multi-sport court company serving Quogue NY, 11959  Gappsi designed and installed this multi-sport court field for a resident in Quogue NY. Using a combination of synthetic turf, first, Acadia synthetic grass was installed directly onto the existing asphalt base. The old asphalt court was repaired and re-leveled in the many areas that were damaged, primarily the outside edges. The 20×44 pickle ball court was positioned closer to the house making it more visible from the backyard patio.
The pickle ball court was installed using Mateflex tiles. We used a blue color for the field and charcoal gray for the 2 foot wide border all around. The court was then striped with white lines, and lastly, the netting was installed at standard regulation height for a pickle-ball court – 36 inches – and it was mounted on permanent fixed poles. The basketball court was also built with Mateflex tiles – dark blue tiles for the court and a lighter blue for the key area. The hoop installed is a Pro Dunk hoop of regulation size and also adjustable to fit any age player. The putting green was positioned in the far back corner, cut into an oval shape, and also in a small size with 2 holes and flags. All of the synthetic turf is filled with silica sand at a ratio of 2 pounds per sq ft. The weight of the sand helps to keep the synthetic grass down and prevents it from shifting during activities on it.
The project was planned with the design to create all these sports activities by removing an old, full-size basketball court built next to a clay tennis court. The new homeowners loved the idea of a multi-function sports court, rather than a single large basketball court. As a professional multi-sport court company, Gappsi provided a nice layout and worked with the client’s wishes for positioning the courts accordingly. Granite Driveway and Masonry Installation, Dix Hills NY 11746, by Gappsi

Granite Driveway and Masonry Installation, Dix Hills NY 11746, by GappsiThe driveway installation started with the excavation of existing asphalt and sub base. New concrete base with fiber mesh was installed with Amagansett granite pavers is laid over a thin layer of graded sand. Stone was selected from the Gappsi natural stone collection. Jumbo Belgian block was installed for the street curb and driveway entrance. The sealing process begins with pressure washing the entire patio, removing all dirt/debris from the stone surface and in between the joints. Next, Nexgel Techniseal synthetic sand is applied in between the pavers joints and vibrated with a mechanical plate compactor. The plate compactor has rubber rollers to prevent the stones from cracking or scratching. This vibrating process allows the sand to fall in between the joints and density. Then, we clean the pavers with brooms and landscape blowers, to clean the excess sand from the pavers surface and to evenly spread the sand in between the pavers joints. The next step is to wash the pavers by misting water to penetrate the synthetic sand into the paver joints all the way down below the pavers. The sand and water activate a chemical reaction of the pollen that’s in the sand to cause the sand to harden. Finally, the application of the sealer, two parts components urethane dealer, specially formulated for Gappsi, is applied to the pavers surface and the sand joints to prevent stones from staining, extend their life cycle and further enhance their texture, color, and surface. From design concept to finish execution Gappsi provides natural stone supply/installation, Cleaning and sealing services.
