This backyard in Commack, NY went through a complete transformation. We started with the design that included a new porch and portico by the backyard sliding door, a new pavilion, and a cooking island with a raised bar sitting area. We then built a new custom vinyl pool, a natural moss rock waterfall, natural limestone .

Part of the structure has a garage door to the driveway and an overhanging pavilion facing the pool and backyard. The garage was built with extra height to accommodate a car lift. Trim and columns were finished with Azek, masonry piers and BBQ island, with a grill refrigerator and bar sink, constructed with Moca travertine veneers. The large free form swimming pool was built with concrete walls and a liner, a shallow deep end to accommodate the SRS Slide, 3 sheer descents built in the raised wall on the back side of the pool, concrete steps covered with a textured liner, a deep end bench, a standing ledge, an LED light, gas heater, salt water chlorine system, and full automation. Giuseppe Abbrancati & Gappsi has done all the work in my yard – pool, patio, pavilion, outdoor kitchen. They were very professional, reasonable and responsive. Giuseppe stays involved all the details. I would recommend them to anyone.

Letter from Customer for work completed in 2008
“We spent a lot of time to investigate and look around for the best person who did driveways and the backyard work. After looking at many other contractors’ work and seeing Giuseppe’s work we quickly decided to give our project to Giuseppe to design and built our swimming pool with an auto cover. Our pool is safe and it stays clean thank to the expertise of Gappsi Pools. We had a salt water system installed and Gappsi did a great job building it. He got our permit very fast and completed the pool very quickly We had Nicolock colonial cobble autumn blend paving stones with Granite City borders and full nose coping as the masonry patio build around the swimming pool. The backyard also incorporates a multi-level raised patio with a bbq and bar sitting area; planting beds for flowers and trees were created along the top of the walls. Walkways were built on both side of the house to connect to the driveway and the front of the house. The driveway was designed with inlays of fans for the driveway apron and a large circle designed courtyard with a paver art sun design in the center and a grand entrance walk way to the front door… Giuseppe has a lot of knowledge of what he does. His work amazed us when we went to see many projects he did many years ago. Those places still look good like brand new. He really works hard to give you the best product and he really cares for the best end results. He has such amazing ideas and he listened to all our needs. Like other contractors, he does not talk you into doing more work with him if it’s not going to look good. He gives you the best advice. Doing a brand new construction we came across many contractors but no one was as near good as Giuseppe is. He starts the Job when he tells you and finishes on time. It was very difficult to go through all the construction we did and dealing with other contractors for the house. His work was so fast and neat. After having him work on our backyard and the driveway we really wish that we had a contractor like him doing our whole house. Giuseppe’s workers were very nice, respectful, on time and meticulous. We also want to mention that In our community, we came across at least 4 people who worked with him in the past and are very happy with his work. We recommend Giuseppe and Gappsi and welcome others to see the beautiful work which he did in our backyard and the driveway.”
