The old railroad tie retaining wall was removed and re-constructed with a poured reinforced-concrete wall. It was then veneered with tumbled travertine split-face veneers and finished on top with 12 inch wide, 2 inch thick travertine coping. Sheer descent water features were also installed in the wall over the center spilling into the pool.

The custom designed swimming pool has a roman end by the diving area, steps and a spa in the shallow area, and a sundeck with an LED water bubbler on the long side of the pool facing across the pool to the water feature. The bluestone coping installed for swimming pool and spa complement the porcelain tiles installed in the swimming pool water line. The tile markers outline the steps, benches, sundeck, and the spa interior. The finish of the pool is Super Blue Diamond Brite, which consists of a white quartz with speckle of blue.

All walls were veneered with split-face tumbled travertine and Twin-Eagle appliances were installed. A 16×16 pavilion was custom-built over the outdoor cooking area, completed with stained wood beams in the ceiling and all synthetic wood trims wrapping the four columns and fascia.
The entire backyard floor and pool patio was completed with Moca tumbled french pattern travertine. The outdoor lighting is designed and installed to uniformly light up the backyard and accent each area. Pavilion Built In Dix Hills By Gappsi
This 20×24 pavilion was designed and built by Gappsi in Dix Hills, NY. We built it with 6 columns, all wrapped with synthetic wood and Azek. This outdoor structure allows the homeowners to enjoy their backyard in both sunny and rainy days. The pavilion not only looks elegant, but it’s also very functional and includes great amenities.
A wood burning fireplace is accompanied with a large screen TV and enough room for a comfortable couch area in front of it. Underneath the pavilion, we installed all Twin Eagle Appliances: a bar island with a sink, storage cabinets, and refrigerator; and we installed an outdoor changing room with a shower. The adjacent area is already set up for a future outdoor spa to be placed also.
All white trim, moldings, and maintenance-free paneling were used to veneer columns and ceiling. The fireplace and bar island were veneered with tumbled split face travertine veneers to match the travertine french pattern sealed patio throughout the pavilion and surrounding area. This house was remodeled by Gappsi. The front door portico was redesigned and built elongated to cover the front steps and entrance way. The soffit in a shape of a dome was covered in synthetic 2-inch white strips with the columns having a trim design. A new front metal door was installed with a stucco molding trim, which compliments the window molding and beige stucco finish on the center part of the house. Natural quartz stone veneers were installed 4 ft high throughout the front of the house – below the stucco and all the way to the top under the soffit on both ends. Gappsi designed and installed the whole project, including the landscaping, walkways, and patios.
Backyard Designer Babylon NY – Masonry Contractor Long Island
This backyard was designed by Giuseppe Abbrancati and installed by Gappsi in Babylon, Long Island NY. The layout incorporates a lower patio, a fire pit area with a sitting wall, and a bar area with a pergola built over it. This provides shade from the sun and accents the sitting area and the bar island. The upper patio is one step down from the backyard sliding doors, making it very easy and comfortable walking out into the backyard. A flowerbed defines the edge of the patio allowing room for flowers and a birdbath fountain. The main use of the raised patio is to accommodate the main large dining table and the cooking island for the grill and other outdoor appliances. Manufactured retaining walls were used to create the elevations and structure for the steps, columns, sitting walls, cooking island, and bar island. The floors were paved with ivory travertine, containing a color scheme of browns, beige, and white colors, to ornate this detailed and functional backyard setting.

Pool house pavilion/garage combination built in Dix Hills, NY with cedar shake shingles impression vinyl siding and 30 year architectural brown shingles. Part of the structure has a garage door to the driveway and an overhanging pavilion facing the pool and backyard. The garage was built with extra height to accommodate a car lift. Trim and columns were finished with Azek, masonry piers and BBQ island, with a grill refrigerator and bar sink, constructed with Moca travertine veneers. The large free form swimming pool was built with concrete walls and a liner, a shallow deep end to accommodate the SRS Slide, 3 sheer descents built in the raised wall on the back side of the pool, concrete steps covered with a textured liner, a deep end bench, a standing ledge, an LED light, gas heater, salt water chlorine system, and full automation. Approximately 3,000 sq ft of Moca travertine pavers were used for the entire backyard, and the deck leading to the house was constructed with Timbertech.
