Gappsi remodeled this gunite swimming pool in Laurel Hollow in Nassau County Long Island, NY. The original pool was a custom shape with a roman end bump out in the shallow area and inverted corners in the deep end. We reshaped the pool shell to be a rectangular pool to accommodate an autocover installation, new wedding cake shaped steps, and a bench were built in the shallow area along with 2 corner benches in the deep end. We installed 6 inch high 1×1 inch tiles as water line markers on the step edges and a tile mosaic design of dolphins playing with a ball on the pool floor. New honed Indiana limestone coping was installed and a shot-blasted finished large random pattern sandstone was used for the patio around the swimming pool. All new equipment was installed including the Aquacal heat pump, new pentair VS pump and cartridge filter, a salt chlorine generator, and an ozone UV light sanitizer. A new slide was installed for the kids with the autocover to make this pool safe, low maintenance, and energy efficient.
Just completed this renovation of the Gunite pool. We installed a brand new porcelain random pattern patio. This pool was all renovated and re marble dusted with white marble dust bluestone coping and brand new tiles. We were able to finish it through the winter. The weather has been so perfect to work outside better than the summer. We installed all new equipment and all new plumbing for the pool. We did not close the pool this winter because we just finished the patio and we did the marble dust like two weeks ago the end of January. We kept this tree in the middle of the patio. It was an existing beautiful tree. We trimmed the steps with the bluestone and the water fountain is still covered. We will came back in the summer time to retake the video.

The swimming pool was built raised out of the ground with one side exposed to create an infinity edge. This creates the illusion of the pool water falling into the bay a few yards away.
