We added step markers in the gunite pool renovation serving a dual roll in any pool. First and foremost is safety. Without step markers, the edges of steps, Baja shelves, and tanning ledges are difficult to identify beneath the water’s surface. This can ultimately create a fall or drowning hazard. The second role is more cosmetic. Step markers add a pop of personality to your pool. The swimming pool was built raised out of the ground with one side exposed to create an infinity edge. This creates the illusion of the pool water falling into the bay a few yards away.
