Custom Outdoor Kitchen Islands with Serene Cabinetry

Custom Outdoor Kitchen Islands with Serene Cabinetry

A standout feature of the renovated showroom is the collection of outdoor kitchen islands constructed with Serene cabinets. Gappsi is a Serene cabinetry dealer in New York, offering homeowners customizable outdoor kitchen solutions.

These cabinets feature a tubular aluminum structure with a double-wall exterior construction, designed to provide strength and support for outdoor countertop installations.

The cabinetry comes in a variety of configurations, letting homeowners create an outdoor kitchen that fits their space and cooking needs. Soft-closing cabinet features add convenience, while customizable sizing lets you design islands for compact patios, expansive entertainment areas, and everything in between.

Sink Islands with Seating and Storage

One featured island combines food prep, cleanup, storage, and seating in a single design.

The island features a Ruvati sink with compatible attachments and accessories, making food prep and cleanup easier. Its layout also includes space for bar stools, creating a casual seating area where family members and guests can gather while meals are prepared.

This island is especially useful for homeowners who want their outdoor kitchen to serve as both a cooking area and an entertainment destination.

Grill Islands with Refrigeration and Accessories

Another display highlights how thoughtful planning can make an outdoor kitchen more organized and efficient.

This island features a Hestan grill, a spice cabinet, and a three-drawer refrigerator configuration. Additional displays show drawers beneath grills and doors and cabinets beneath other appliances.

These details show the importance of incorporating storage, refrigeration, and easy access to cooking essentials into the original design, rather than treating them as afterthoughts.

With customizable Serene cabinetry, homeowners can plan dedicated spaces for utensils, spices, food preparation equipment, and other outdoor cooking necessities.

Explore Dekton and Granite Countertop Options

Choosing the right countertop is an important part of outdoor kitchen design. Gappsi’s renovated showroom displays a variety of countertop colors and finishes, including the latest Dekton selections and popular granite options.

Dekton offers a contemporary appearance with a broad range of colors and surface styles. The showroom features a black Dekton surface with a leather finish, inspiring homeowners who prefer a modern, textured look.

Visitors can also explore other Dekton colors to find options that complement their cabinetry, grills, patio materials, and overall landscape design.

For those who prefer natural stone, the showroom features popular granite countertop choices. Granite provides distinctive natural patterns and color variations, making each selection visually unique.

By displaying these materials alongside outdoor kitchen cabinetry and appliances, Gappsi helps customers envision how different finishes work together in a complete installation.

Italian Wood-Fired Pizza Ovens from Clementi and Rosso Fuoco

Italian cooking traditions take center stage in the Gappsi showroom, which features an extensive collection of wood-fired and dual-fuel ovens.

These appliances let homeowners bring the experience of traditional Italian pizza making and outdoor oven cooking into their backyards.

Clementi Pizza Ovens

The showroom features several Clementi oven options, including wood-fired and dual-fuel models.

You can install the Clementi pizza oven in different ways, depending on the model and the overall kitchen design. Options include placing the oven on its own stand, installing it on a suitable countertop, or incorporating it into a custom masonry structure.

The Clementi Moderno oven offers additional flexibility, with gas and wood-firing capabilities. Its cart-mounted stand makes it practical for certain outdoor layouts, and it comes with pizza-making accessories such as peels and brushes. An optional tray with an arm can also be used for grilling inside the oven and removed when not needed.

Another featured product is the Clementi Elite stove and oven. This wood-fired unit combines an oven with a stove and is designed to circulate hot air through upper openings, helping distribute warmth into the surrounding area. Its design makes it a strong option for outdoor cooking spaces where extra heat may be desirable.

As with any outdoor heating appliance, follow the manufacturer’s requirements for installation, ventilation, clearances, and weather protection.

Rosso Fuoco: Three Distinct Italian Oven Designs

Rosso Fuoco: Three Distinct Italian Oven Designs

At the front of the showroom, Gappsi displays three Rosso Fuoco wood-fired ovens: the Clessidra, Cubo, and Sedicioni.

Each model offers a different design and cooking experience, letting visitors compare styles and choose the oven that best suits their outdoor kitchen.

These ovens are designed for outdoor use, including cold-weather environments when installed and operated according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Depending on the model and installation requirements, you can display them on stands, install them on suitable countertops, or incorporate them into masonry structures.

These three distinct designs show how an Italian oven can be both a practical cooking appliance and a focal point in an outdoor living area.

Eldorado Fire Pit Barbecue: Cooking Meets Outdoor Ambiance

The showroom also features the Eldorado fire pit barbecue, which combines outdoor cooking with the atmosphere of a fire feature.

Available in powder-coated black or Corten, the Eldorado offers two distinct visual styles. Black creates a clean, contemporary appearance, while Corten provides a weathered, industrial-inspired aesthetic.

Depending on the model and installation specifications, you can incorporate the unit into a masonry structure, install it on its own stand, or place it on a suitable countertop.

This versatility lets homeowners explore different ways to integrate a fire pit barbecue into a patio, outdoor kitchen, or entertaining area.

For those who enjoy gathering around a fire while cooking outdoors, the Eldorado offers another option to consider when planning a customized outdoor living space.

Serene Powder-Coated Aluminum Outdoor Kitchen on Dune Road in East Quogue, NY

Posted by Gappsi Group on

View Gappsi’s YouTube Channel to view Serene Powder-Coated Aluminum Outdoor Kitchen on Dune Road in East Quogue, NY

When your home sits along the water on Dune Road in East Quogue, NY, an outdoor kitchen should do more than provide a place to grill. It should complement the views, withstand the coastal environment, create a comfortable entertaining space, and feel like a natural extension of the home.

That was the goal behind Gappsi’s latest outdoor kitchen installation in East Quogue. Built on a second-floor deck overlooking the ocean, this custom outdoor kitchen combines Serene powder-coated aluminum cabinetry, premium appliances, a custom countertop, and a motorized louvered pergola to create a sophisticated outdoor living space designed specifically around the homeowners’ property and lifestyle.

A Custom Outdoor Kitchen Designed for the Coast

Building an outdoor kitchen in a coastal location requires careful material selection. Salt air, humidity, direct sunlight, rain, and seasonal temperature changes can challenge traditional outdoor cabinetry.

For this East Quogue project, Gappsi selected Serene white oak powder-coated aluminum cabinets. Serene cabinetry is designed specifically for outdoor environments, combining aluminum construction with a durable powder-coated finish that provides protection against moisture, corrosion, UV exposure, and everyday outdoor use.

The white oak finish provides the warmth and visual character of wood while delivering the durability homeowners want from outdoor cabinetry. This creates an upscale appearance without sacrificing the practical advantages of an outdoor-rated material.

For a property directly overlooking the ocean, selecting cabinetry engineered for the coastal environment is especially important.

A Complete Cooking and Entertaining Station

This East Quogue outdoor kitchen was designed to provide everything needed for cooking and entertaining without continually traveling back and forth to the indoor kitchen.

The kitchen features a Delta grill and griddle, giving the homeowners multiple options for preparing meals outdoors. Whether grilling steaks and seafood or preparing breakfast, vegetables, burgers, or other foods on the griddle, the cooking area provides the flexibility expected from a fully equipped outdoor kitchen.

Gappsi also incorporated a sink into the design, making food preparation and cleanup much more convenient. Having a sink outside is one of those features that can make a major difference when entertaining. Instead of carrying dishes, utensils, and food preparation items inside, many everyday tasks can be handled right at the outdoor kitchen.

A Summit refrigerator was also installed, providing convenient refrigerated storage directly at the cooking station. Cold beverages, ingredients, condiments, and other items can remain within easy reach.

Together, the grill, griddle, sink, and refrigerator transform this space from a simple outdoor grilling area into a true outdoor kitchen.

Leather-Finished Gray Countertop

The cabinetry is complemented by a gray countertop with a leather finish. The textured finish adds another layer of visual interest to the design while creating a sophisticated contrast against the white oak cabinetry.

The countertop also provides the necessary workspace for food preparation, serving, and entertaining. In an outdoor kitchen, countertop space is just as important as the appliances themselves because it creates room to organize ingredients, prepare meals, set out dishes, and serve guests.

The combination of gray and white oak creates a modern yet warm aesthetic that works beautifully with the coastal surroundings.

A Motorized Louvered Pergola Adds Comfort and Flexibility

One standout feature of this East Quogue project is the louvered pergola installed over the outdoor kitchen.

The pergola provides overhead protection while letting homeowners control the amount of sunlight and openness above the kitchen. The louvers can be opened or closed using a remote control, giving the homeowners convenient control of the outdoor environment.

Want more sunlight and an open-air feeling? The louvers can be opened.

Need more shade or protection from the elements? The louvers can be closed.

This adjustable outdoor structure keeps the kitchen usable in a variety of weather and lighting conditions. Motorized pergolas are increasingly being incorporated into Long Island outdoor living spaces because they combine architectural design with practical functionality.

Gappsi also installed lighting on the pergola, allowing the kitchen and surrounding area to remain functional after the sun goes down. Evening lighting is especially important for an outdoor kitchen because it provides illumination for cooking while also creating an inviting atmosphere for entertaining.

Privacy Without Sacrificing the View

Because this kitchen is located on an elevated second-floor deck overlooking the water, maintaining the spectacular view was a major design consideration.

Gappsi installed privacy slats along one side of the kitchen, creating separation and privacy where it was needed. However, they intentionally left the opposite side open.

That decision was important to the homeowners because they did not want to lose the view of the water from inside the house.

This is an excellent example of why custom outdoor kitchen design is about much more than selecting cabinets and appliances. The layout has to take the property’s architecture, sightlines, views, privacy requirements, access points, and surrounding environment into account.

By selectively incorporating privacy elements rather than enclosing the entire kitchen, Gappsi was able to provide privacy while preserving the property’s connection to the ocean.

Functional Storage Built Into the Island

The kitchen island also includes a spice cabinet drawer, providing dedicated storage for seasonings and other frequently used cooking essentials.

Small details like this can have a significant impact on the functionality of an outdoor kitchen. Rather than storing everything in a single large cabinet, specialized storage allows homeowners to organize cooking supplies according to how they actually use the space.

Custom outdoor cabinetry allows Gappsi to incorporate these features into the overall kitchen design so storage is both attractive and practical.

Designing Around the View

Perhaps the most important element of this East Quogue project is the relationship between the kitchen and its surroundings.

Located on Dune Road and positioned on a second-floor deck facing the ocean, the outdoor kitchen isn’t simply an addition to the property—it is part of the home’s experience.

The design intentionally keeps the kitchen open toward the water. The homeowners can cook, entertain, and spend time outdoors while still enjoying the coastal views.

The louvered pergola adds another layer of functionality without turning the kitchen into an enclosed room. The open design preserves the feeling of being outdoors while providing greater control over sun and weather.

This is one advantage of a professionally designed outdoor living space: every element can be planned around how homeowners actually want to use their property.

Gappsi Outdoor Kitchens on Long Island

Gappsi designs and builds custom outdoor kitchens throughout Long Island, incorporating high-quality cabinetry, countertops, grills, refrigerators, sinks, pergolas, pavilions, and other outdoor living features.

Serene cabinetry is particularly well suited to Long Island outdoor kitchens because its aluminum construction and protective powder-coated finish are designed to handle the challenges of outdoor environments, including moisture and coastal conditions.

Every property presents different design opportunities. Some homeowners need to maximize a compact patio, while others want a complete outdoor entertaining area. Coastal properties may require additional attention to materials, weather exposure, privacy, and views.

The East Quogue project demonstrates what is possible when all of these considerations are brought together in one cohesive design.

A Beautiful Outdoor Kitchen for East Quogue Living

From the Serene white oak powder-coated aluminum cabinetry to the Delta grill and griddle, Summit refrigerator, sink, gray leather-finished countertop, motorized louvered pergola, integrated lighting, and custom storage, this Dune Road outdoor kitchen was designed to combine beauty and functionality.

Most importantly, the design respects the property itself.

The privacy slats provide separation where needed, while the open side protects the homeowners’ view of the water. The second-floor location creates an elevated outdoor entertaining area, and the louvered pergola provides flexible shade and protection without compromising the open-air experience.

This latest Gappsi outdoor kitchen installation in East Quogue, NY, shows how a carefully planned outdoor living space can transform the way homeowners use their property.

For homeowners considering a custom outdoor kitchen on Long Island, the right design isn’t simply about adding appliances. It is about creating an outdoor space that works with your home, your property, your lifestyle, and the environment around you. Gappsi can help bring those elements together into a custom outdoor kitchen designed to be enjoyed for years to come.

Gunite Pool and Backyard Renovation in Upper Brookville, NY

Posted by Gappsi Group on

View Gappsi’s YouTube Channel to view Gunite Pool and Backyard Renovation in Upper Brookville, NY

A backyard renovation is more than a construction project.  It is a complete transformation of how a home is experienced and enjoyed. View our recently completed gunite pool and backyard renovation in Upper Brookville, NY.  It is a prime example of how thoughtful design, premium materials, and expert craftsmanship can turn an outdated outdoor space into a cohesive luxury retreat. This project represents the latest backyard renovation completed by Gappsi.  It showcases the level of detail and customization that defines our work.

Starting Fresh: Removing the Old Patio

The renovation began with a clean slate. The existing backyard featured an old clay brick patio that had reached the end of its functional and aesthetic lifespan. To ensure a long-lasting and visually unified result, the entire patio area was removed. This enabled proper base preparation and allowed us to redesign the layout to suit better the homeowner’s lifestyle and the property’s scale.

By stripping the space down to its foundation, we were able to reimagine the backyard.  It is a valid extension of the home, seamlessly blending entertainment, relaxation, and architectural elegance.

Expansive Marble Patio with G040 Pavers

One of the most striking elements of this renovation is the expansive patio paved entirely with G040 marble pavers. This is a large-scale patio, and the choice of G040 marble was intentional. Known for its durability, refined texture, and light, elegant tone, G040 marble provides a timeless look while remaining cool underfoot, an essential feature for poolside areas.

The consistent use of G040 marble across the central pool patio creates a clean, uninterrupted visual flow.  It enhances the sense of openness in the yard. Precision installation ensured uniform joints and proper drainage, both critical to longevity and performance.

In addition to the central patio, we constructed a new stoop at the backyard sliding door. This transition point was designed to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding marble pavers, enhancing accessibility and visual continuity between the home and the outdoor living space.

Gunite Pool and Backyard Renovation in Upper Brookville, NY

Complete Gunite Pool Renovation

The existing gunite pool underwent a full renovation, beginning with a complete plumbing overhaul. All new pool equipment was installed to improve efficiency, performance, and reliability. Updating the plumbing and equipment ensures the pool operates at modern standards while reducing maintenance concerns for the homeowner.

Visually, the pool received a significant upgrade as well. New porcelain tiles were installed along the waterline, providing a crisp, clean contrast against the water’s surface. Porcelain was selected for its durability, resistance to staining, and refined appearance.

The pool coping was replaced with new marble coping, tying the pool seamlessly into the surrounding G040 marble patio. This creates a unified look that feels intentional and polished from every angle.

To complete the pool renovation, the interior was refinished with Diamond Brite Super Blue. This finish enhances water clarity and color, giving the pool a vibrant, inviting appearance. Tile markers were also installed on the pool steps, adding both a safety feature and a subtle design detail that improves visibility.

Pavilion Patio with Distinct Marble Transition

One of the standout design choices in this project is the transition from the pool patio to the pavilion patio. Rather than continuing the same stone throughout, we introduced a completely different marble color, G034 marble, to define the pavilion area as its own destination within the backyard.

This thoughtful change in material creates visual interest while still maintaining harmony with the overall design. The transition between G040 and G034 marble was carefully executed to ensure a smooth, elegant shift that feels natural rather than abrupt.

Custom 16×36 Country Lane Pavilion

Anchoring the pavilion patio is a custom-built 16×36 Country Lane Pavilion featuring substantial 8-inch columns. The pavilion serves as a focal point of the backyard and provides a shaded, weather-protected area for entertaining and dining.

Inside, the pavilion was left in bare wood, stained a rich mahogany color. This finish adds warmth and contrast to the surrounding stone, complementing the natural materials used throughout the space. The exposed wood ceiling enhances the pavilion’s architectural presence while maintaining a relaxed, inviting atmosphere.

Outdoor Kitchen and Cooking Island

Designed for serious outdoor entertaining, the custom cooking island is both functional and visually striking. The countertop is finished in black leather-finished granite, offering a textured, matte surface that resists fingerprints and glare while delivering a bold, modern look.

The base of the island is clad in a 4-inch silver travertine veneer, adding depth and natural variation that complements the marble patios. The kitchen is fully outfitted with premium Twin Eagles appliances and an Alpha oven, making it suitable for everything from casual family meals to large gatherings.

This outdoor kitchen transforms the pavilion into a true culinary hub, allowing homeowners to cook, serve, and entertain without ever leaving the backyard.

Fire Pit and Seating Wall

To complete the outdoor living experience, we constructed a custom fire pit featuring a Breeo smokeless insert. Known for its efficient burn and reduced smoke output, the Breeo fire pit enhances comfort and usability, even during extended gatherings.

Surrounding the fire pit is a built-in seating wall, designed to encourage conversation and provide ample seating without cluttering the space. This area serves as a natural gathering point, perfect for evenings spent outdoors in any season.

A Complete Backyard Transformation

This gunite pool and backyard renovation in Upper Brookville, NY, is a testament to what is possible when design, materials, and craftsmanship come together seamlessly. From the expansive marble patios and fully renovated pool to the custom pavilion, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit, every detail was thoughtfully planned and expertly executed.

This is the latest backyard renovation completed by Gappsi in Upper Brookville.  This project reflects our commitment to creating outdoor environments that are not only beautiful but also functional, durable, and tailored to how our clients live and entertain. The result is a backyard that feels cohesive, luxurious, and built to be enjoyed for years to come.
