Starting with the location to best fit the 30 x 60 court and the swimming pool area  within the already landscaped yard. The construction of the base for the court consists of 6 inches of recycled concrete base and 2 inches of compacted asphalt. It was then sealed, with a 6 x 9 masonry border around the edges. A full size adjustable hoop was also installed. Mateflex tiles modular outdoor flooring tiles were installed over the asphalt, stretched, and then secured all around the perimeter to create an expandable and contracting court floor. A combination of blue and gray colors are selected for the tiles with white striping to outline the Basketball and the pickle ball court., a complete key, a 3-point line, and a capital “S” is printed in the center of the court that stands for the owner’s last name. Volleyball/pickle ball lines are also marked on the tile and the adjustable net was installed in the middle of the court. 

 
The court was installed in a section of the backyard that was not utilized by the homeowner for any other use. The basketball court fit perfectly and turned this area into a very active sports area for the whole family to enjoy. The Mateflex tiles are the best in the industry. We starting with the construction of the free-form vinyl swimming pool, new stoops built by the backyard sliding doors, and approximately 2,000 sq ft of flamed Amagansett granite pavers and pool coping. Amagansett granite is a very colorful stone containing different colors: white, yellow, peach, gold, and brown shades. It makes a perfect to match any surrounding landscape and outdoor furniture. Amagansett Granite paving stones bring some life to the backyard with its pleasant and colorful blend.

Backyard and Gunite Swimming Pool Built in west Islip by GappsiThis backyard is designed and constructed by Gappsi in West Islip, Long island NY 11795. The layout incorporates a 18×36 gunite swimming pool rectangular shape. The swimming pool is only 6 feet deep and is a non-diving pool, thus a diving board cannot be installed. The steps are built along side the 18 foot long shallow area and it also has 2 benches in the deep end to exit the pool. The finish of the swimming pool is done with black-colored quartz dust. Two LED lights are installed on one side and the hydraulic system, consisting of two skimmers and 2 inch 40 schedule PVC [gravityform id=”1″ title=”true” description=”true”]plumbing.

Hayward equipment is installed including a gas heater, VS pump, cartridge filter, salt-chlorine generator, and an automation control panel. The swimming pool also has a safety auto cover and a mesh winter cover. The coping and patio consists of 2 inch thick, flamed Pennsylvania  bluestone for the pool coping, and 1 inch flagging for the remainder of the patio. On one side of the swimming pool, there is no patio and the grass comes up to the pool edge. There is also a pool cabana built and an outdoor cooking island. The landscaping, including flowers, grass, and trees. The pool and patio design is created to compliment the Hamptons-style home, finished with natural, weathered cedar shingles.

This backyard was designed by Giuseppe Abbrancati and installed by the Gappsi team. The gunite swimming pool has a rectangular shell with a bench on the long side of the pool, a sundeck with a bubbler, steps, and a spa. Spillover water bowls also function as fire features. The swimming pool is 8 feet deep, and includes a diving board and a safety auto cover. The backyard is elegant, functional, and simple. The Fiorito travertine patio for the fire pit area, the pavilion floor, and the pool patio area were bordered with blue stone strips to match the swimming pool coping. The pavilion was built by Gappsi and was designed to match the house style and details. The outdoor kitchen was built with Wolf cabinets and Twin Eagle appliances, and it was veneered with Fiorito travertine to match the pillars that hold the fire bowls and the fire-pit. Badminton-Volleyball-Shuffle Board-Court-Company Long IslandSports game courts built by Gappsi in East Islip, Long Island NY. This court incorporates many outdoor games including badminton, volleyball, and shuffleboard all built in one court. The base preparation was built with a full drainage system and SnapSports polypropylene tiles were installed as the finish surface. Gappsi is a dealer of Snap-sports and installer and designer of many outdoor sports and recreational courts.
The netting for the court is adjustable to multiple heights. ACADIA-Face Weight 70 oz. Pile Height 1-3/4″ Go Green Synthetic Grass was installed around the sports game courts. A berm with plants and sandstone gravel was installed for decorating the planting beds.
