Multi-sports game courts company serving Quogue NY, 11959 Gappsi designed and installed this multi sports games courts field for a resident in Quogue NY. Using a combination of synthetic turf, first, Acadia synthetic grass was installed directly onto the existing asphalt base. The old asphalt court was repaired and re-leveled in the many areas that were damaged, primarily the outside edges. The 20×44 pickle ball court was positioned closer to the house making it more visible from the backyard patio.
The pickle ball court was installed using Mateflex tiles. We used a blue color for the field and charcoal gray for the 2 foot wide border all around. The court was then striped with white lines, and lastly, the netting was installed at standard regulation height for a pickle-ball court – 36 inches – and it was mounted on permanent fixed poles. The basketball court was also built with Mateflex tiles – dark blue tiles for the court and a lighter blue for the key area. The hoop installed is a Pro Dunk hoop of regulation size and also adjustable to fit any age player. The putting green was positioned in the far back corner, cut into an oval shape, and also in a small size with 2 holes and flags. All of the synthetic turf is filled with silica sand at a ratio of 2 pounds per sq ft. The weight of the sand helps to keep the synthetic grass down and prevents it from shifting during activities on it.
The project was planned with the design to create all these sports activities by removing an old, full-size basketball court built next to a clay tennis court. The new homeowners loved the idea of a multi-function sports court, rather than a single large basketball court. As a professional sports games courts company, Gappsi provided a nice layout and worked with the client’s wishes for positioning the courts accordingly. Complete backyard renovation designed by Giuseppe Abbrancati and built by Gappsi in Massapequa Park, Long Island NY.
The construction of the vinyl swimming pool concrete walls consisted of assembling aluminum molds while after the walls are then poured, reinforced with rebar. The pool floor base was made with dry-pack sand and cement materials to harden and avoided foot prints. One large light was installed in the deep end and one small light was installed in the shallow area. The pool also had two wide-mouth skimmers encased in the concrete walls along with four returns and two deep end bottom drains.
After the installation of the Loop-Loc textured liner, the coping and patio were installed using Fiorito and Moca travertine pavers. An ice chest was installed next to the pool bench in the shallow area for easy access to refreshments. A TimberTech deck was also built coming out of the sliding door with railings and steps. All pool equipment were from Pentair, including the gas heater, pumps and filter, and salt chlorine generator.

The water in this faux pool is hard enough to support people who wish to get a view of the softer water just yards away. Adjacent to a catering hall, the roof plaza deck is a subtle metaphor: hold a great pool party without getting wet. The illusion of the water’s motion is cleverly introduced into the pattern, even in the whirlpool bath. The pavers rest on a thin layer of bedding sand over a waterproof membrane. Paving stones were custom colored and manufactured by Nicolock

Gappsi provides bocce ball court installations for residential and commercial applications in Calverton, Long Island NY. These 2 bocce ball courts were resurfaced using our deluxe package of synthetic turf and silica sand. The original bocce courts were built with a clay surface and the residents in this gated community complained for years about the pour drainage that the courts had. On some days, they were not even able to use the courts because they were not fully dry. After the removal of the clay, and the installation of the new synthetic grass surface, the residents have been playing on the courts every day.
