Long Islands Gappsi Team has done it again! No worries about over crowed parks now you can have your very own exclusive recreational center steps away from the comfort of your home. In this photo you see a blue and grey Versa court customized by the homeowner himself. The great thing about the Versa courts is that you have the option to get creative designing your own game lines, layouts, colors and even logos. “Hey, the balls in your court!” What Gappsi Group did specifically was start off with a reinforced concrete base giving a nice even smooth surface to work on as well as rearranging the drainage on the property. Not a one man job! The outdoor court tiles are an interlocking system made from a polyethylene material that is both weather proof and crack resistant with a 25-30 year life expectancy. The Versa tiles have a special shock absorbent attribute that helps relieve stress on the body’s joints and lower back. Gappsi conveniently placed Metal Halide Lights for those long nights whether you’re practicing or finishing off a neighborhood tournament. The Versa tiles are 50% cooler than concrete and asphalt so they are kid friendly if you have interest in doing a children’s playground. Nice and soft for those falls and parents the low maintenance up keep compared to those dirt, sand or wood fiber play areas. Need an indoor court? No problem! The indoor tiles have more of a smooth surface that reflects light giving off a nice shiny appearance. There are a wide variety of other sporting courts and uses for the Versa tiles just call and ask! Stay active Long Island by forfeiting that unused space in your yard or home and let the Gappsi team be in the game!
Custom designed pool with auto cover and travertine patio in East Hills New York 11577 This is a concrete wall liner pool with built in stairs and wall ladder fitted with an automatic cover. This cover acts as a safety cover as well as a money saver by keeping the cost of running the pool down. When not in use the auto cover in the closed position will help keep the pool clean protect it from the sun rays from robbing the chemicals within the pool as well as act like a solar cover keeping it warm like a blanket. The Gappsi team designed installed and landscaped all you see here. First the pool was poured using our aluminum forms and concrete, then a four inch concrete base was used four feet around the pool before the patio was laid. Using our Moca colored travertine with full nosed natural stone coping the team created a soft and classical look to this pool patio. With the addition of arborvitaes, small Japanese maples and plums trees to the landscape we injected color and life to what would have been blank slate. The natural stone travertine patio is a soft cream and chocolate color that is cool to the touch and textured to bring depth when looking at it. The larger French pattern was used with four varying sizes to give a random configuration to the patio.
Here we see a free formed pool and patio with a cascading waterfall feature that has been designed and installed by the professionals of The Gappsi Group. From start to finish Gappsi design team along with the homeowner came up with a simple, balanced, and beautiful to meet their needs for their backyard oasis. Located in Cold Spring Harbor 11724 Long Island, a town bordering Nassau and Suffolk counties and home to picturesque parklands this property was a designer’s dream, flat open space to create and carve out a natural looking pool and patio separate from the house. Starting with the pool our team created a custom free form 18’x 40’ concrete wall hard bottom pool with the steps incorporated into the walls. The homeowner chose a tan pebble bottom liner to emulate the light blue waters of the Caribbean With a need for the sound of rushing water from the customer Gappsi incorporated a two tier waterfall that spills into the pool. The tranquil ambient noise can make any stressful day disappear within a five minute lounging next to it. Bring a book and grab some sun and get lost for hours on the patio. Using Nicolock Toscana paver in oyster blend brings an old world feel to this yard. The random sizes with their tumbled edges adds texture that makes a brand new patio look like it’s been there for years.
