Gunite pool and travertine patio East Islip NY

Gunite pool and travertine patio East Islip NY  We completed this project about 4years ago. We installed a new gunite pool 16×36 with a bluestone coping, auto cover and a fiorito travertine patio. The pool has a sundeck.  We have lined the steps edges with glass tiles. You can see they reflect light from one side. The pool is a sports pool. The deep end of the pool is the center. This side we have corner stairs. There is a bar area with stools inside the pool. In the lower patio area, chairs can be used as stools on the outside.  This is a sunken fire pit area with a bench and gas fire pit. On this we have a semi raised patio. The property slopes so the pool was built a step down from the original house patio. This is a gas fire pit used more as an accent and this is also a sitting area. The property sits on a beautiful lake. The house is about 100 years old.  We faced the walls of the pool to match the original bricks of the house to make it look like it’s been here as long as the house has been here. Porcelain pavers supplier and installer in Smithtown, Long island NY 11787

Porcelain pavers supplier and installer in Smithtown, Long island NY 11787This swimming pool, backyard patio, and the house exterior renovation were designed by Giuseppe Abbrancati and installed by the Gappsi team. We decided to use 24×24 porcelain pavers. Porcelain pavers are very durable and require no maintenance; they are also very precise in size and thickness. Their color variations are also very consistent and the texture is very comfortable to walk on. The home owner wanted a modern and clean look, with a stucco finish for the exterior walls and a simple stack bond pattern for the patio. The colors were a perfect blend of light beige and the pool coping was made of sandblasted marble pavers. This highlighted the pool shape and also matched the white trim of the house.
This project also included the total renovation of the swimming pool. Starting with a liner change, an all new re-plumbing of skimmers and jets, a new light, a new filter pump, and a new heater. We also added an automation system with ozone and a salt-chlorine generator. The pool patio was made of old clay pavers and the pool wall were made of steel panels. We tied ½ inch rebar to the walls all around the pool and poured 4 inches of 3500 PSI concrete with fiber mesh mixed in it.

Safety Mesh Winter Pool Covers – Installers & Specialists – Long Island, NY

Safety Mesh Winter Pool Covers - Installers & Specialists - Long Island, NYMesh covers are the most common way to safeguard your pool during the winter. A winter cover has to be strong and made of good quality material. There are many manufactures of pool liners and mesh safety covers, and mesh covers can be ordered according to the initial pool liner measurements.
Gappsi can supply and install a mesh pool cover, we are authorized dealers and installers for every brand, from Loop-Loc, Merlin, Lathem, Vynall and many other others.
Manufactures make many grades of covers, the better the grade the more expensive to cover is. Tight thin mesh and strong fibers used to manufacture the covers will give your pool cover the quality to last for many years.
Swimming pool winter covers installed by Gappsi will give you all the protection, security, and safety you need for your family, pets, and neighbors. Winter pool covers are manufactured to let the water from the rain drain through. Also, it allows you to put your pump in the middle of the cover and allow the extra water in the pool to come through and get pumped out. Winter covers are manufactured in all mesh or solid rubber with a 24×24 mesh hole in the center to let water drain into the pool. Anchors are installed in the patio about 36 inches away from the swimming pool. The way they are installed is by drilling a hole in the patio, brass anchors are slid through, and the cover is then attached to the anchors. If the patio is not installed correctly, the cover may become loose and it will not be as safe as it should be.
The Gappsi way of installation starts with the proper installation of the patio. Four foot wide slabs with reinforced rebar are always installed around the swimming pool to prevent settling of the patio, then the finished paving material is installed over the concrete base. The Gappsi installation of the safety pool cover is then installed over the patio by drilling holes straight through the finished paving material all the way down into the concrete base. A sleeve is installed into the hole about 6 inches into the patio going through the 4 inches of concrete base and further in the ground, and a brass screw pin is then installed into the pipe. By unscrewing the brass screw pin; it comes up above the patio and allows for the cover ring hooks to attach to the brass screw. After this is all done for every strap of the cover, your Gappsi installed pool cover is safe to walk on with no chance of breaking.
