After the mark out of pool according to the design and set back, we framed and excavated the hole to shape the rough details of the swimming pool. Following up was the installation of the rebar cage for swimming pool walls, spa and bench and finally the shooting of the Gunite this will finally expose the details of the pool overall shape.

Versa Basketball Court Built In Setauket Long Island By Gappsi
Long Islands Gappsi Team has done it again! No worries about over crowed parks now you can have your very own exclusive recreational center steps away from the comfort of your home. In this photo you see a blue and grey Versa court customized by the homeowner himself. The great thing about the Versa courts is that you have the option to get creative designing your own game lines, layouts, colors and even logos. “Hey, the balls in your court!” What Gappsi Group did specifically was start off with a reinforced concrete base giving a nice even smooth surface to work on as well as rearranging the drainage on the property. Not a one man job! The outdoor court tiles are an interlocking system made from a polyethylene material that is both weather proof and crack resistant with a 25-30 year life expectancy. The Versa tiles have a special shock absorbent attribute that helps relieve stress on the body’s joints and lower back. Gappsi conveniently placed Metal Halide Lights for those long nights whether you’re practicing or finishing off a neighborhood tournament. The Versa tiles are 50% cooler than concrete and asphalt so they are kid friendly if you have interest in doing a children’s playground. Gunite Shooting for Swimming Pool after Rebars Installation Roslyn, Nassau County, Long Island NY
Excavation of this Gunite swimming pool in Roslyn, NY is started by marking up and laying out the pool according to town setbacks. We proceed with framing and establishing the pool shell’s rough height. Then the excavator will dig and shape the hole, preparing it for rebar installation. After the # 4 rebar is installed, creating a cage that outlines what will be the final shape of the Gunite swimming pool. The Gunite cement shell is installed by applying a mix of sand and Portland cement through a pump system which is pushed through a nozzle with the force of compressed air. As the cement comes out from the nozzle, water is sprayed simultaneously to create a bond between the sand and cement, forming the Gunite pool shell. In this particular pool, we also molded an autocover box on the deep end of the pool, and swim out bench with the same Gunite cement process. On the shallow end of the pool steps were also shaped in Gunite expanding across the width of the pool. At this stage the Gunite pool shell will be left to cure for 28 days, and water will be sprayed on the concrete shell daily to help the shell petrify. Stub plumbing is installed through the Gunite walls for future connection of plumbing pipes. The skimmers are also placed in the pool before Gunite is sprayed, which encases them in concrete. Plumbing for the bottom drains, and pressure relief valve are placed in the floor, in case in the future the pool needs to be emptied and ground hydraulic pressure is under the pool due to high water tables. On top of the pool shell, along the length of the pool a groove is left in the shell for future installation of the Auto Cover track. The pool shell was constructed 10″ wide for the wall and 8″ wide for the deep end bowl and shallow area floor.

area has all the necessities needed for a gourmet outdoor kitchen. the main attraction is the forty
eight inch grill with over 1,300 square inches of cooking surface and five cast iron burners
pumping out 29,000 BTU. the heat is displaced using ceramic cooking tubes for ample and
proper infrared searing and reduces flareups. Accompanied with the grill is a double side burner
unit for side dishes. underneath are two warming drawers to keep food at the proper temperature
and a trash bin to the right of it. located on the far side of the picture is the Bar and speed rack
area that holds 17 gallons worth of ice and holds five bottles of your choosing. a sink and prep
area also flanks the left side of the bar station. this homeowner was serious about wanting to
entertain outside and with the help of the design team of Gappsi and our meticulous installation
team we fitted this BBQ/Bar island majestically in the homeowners backyard for truly awesome
events and parties.
