Smithtown Vinyl Swimming Pool and Backyard Design

This backyard was designed and built by Gappsi in Smithtown NY. Our team built an L-shaped pool with concrete walls and a vinyl liner. We installed corner stairs and benches in the corner of the pool. Gappsi built a sitting area also inside the pool, which consists of a granite table that extends into the pool with 6 stools; 3 on each side.

We built a raised area in the deeper part of the pool for a sitting area that included the water features. The LED sheer descends and LED water balls add a beautiful look and feel to the backyard. They have lights that come on and are more visible in the nighttime. The patio was completed using Cambridge paving stones, including Charcoal Fullnose 6 x 12 for the patio edge around the pool. The patio consists of a Cambridge Excel smooth corner and a very large sitting area. The umbrella was installed in the center of the table to shade the people sitting in the pool. This is the Gappsi latest project in Smithtown NY.

This backyard was designed and built for a private residence in Laurel Hollow NY. The pool was existing and restored. We installed new coping porcelain tiles in the water line under the coping and finished the pool with gray marble dusting. The coping consists of bull nose walnut travertine which was also used throughout the backyard for caps on walls and steps.

The entire backyard was paved with G046 Melfi limestone, a very beautiful combination of colors, browns, grays, and maroon colors. We used a cultured stone for the rises and the wall veneer. The project was recently sealed as well.  In addition, we built an outdoor kitchen, and on the top left, there is a multi-level backyard. Very detailed backyard design, this is the latest Gappsi project design and build on Long Island in Laurel Hollow NY.

The backyard was designed and built by Gappsi in East Hampton NY. We built a 14 x 40 gunite swimming pool with a 6 x 9 spa including steps and a bench wrapped around the spa. The spa was designed using polished black granite for the coping. The borderline tiles are porcelain black tiles and the finish in the pool is black marble dust plaster.

The swimming pool is equipped with an auto cover. We installed a 2-inch thick G044 Limestone for the pool coping and the autocover box. The patio behind the deep end of the pool was extended with random flagstone and grass planted between the joints. The patio stones we used are the G044 French pattern also selected from the Gappsi Natural Stones Collection. We were restricted by the size of the patio and we had to comply with lot coverage. This is the latest backyard renovation designed and built by Gappsi in East Hampton, on Long Island NY.

Our team at Gappsi designed and installed a gunite pool close to the home in Sag Harbor NY.  We built the patio with G044 Limestone and installed a sundeck in the shallow area of the pool.  The stairs within the pool design were free-formed to accommodate the backyard.  The sun deck and stairs were veneered with glass tiles.  The same glass tiles were used in the waterline of the pool.

SWIMMING POOL

The backyard swimming pool was also remodeled with new plumbing and new equipment.  Replacing your equipment or reworking the plumbing can help to make all your equipment run more efficiently which can lead to several benefits including reduced costs to operate your pool, a cleaner and clearer pool, and less wear and tear on your pool pump.

We used a French pattern for the patio and two-inch copings for the pool edges.  Marble pavers are a great choice for the pool area. Marble pavers resist bacteria, preventing any harmful elements from thriving in the pool area. Tumbled marble pavers provide a strong grip to prevent slipping and falling incidents.

Marble tiles are heat resistant too, which means that anyone walking around the pool area will keep their feet cool, making it less likely to injure themselves from the sun’s heat.  This is an exceptionally important consideration if you have children and the elderly living with you.

With the huge options available for pool coping, the possibilities are wide. You can experiment with different styles based on your taste. We built a new fireplace and installed a Montigo fireplace insert.  Montigo’s lines of exceptional fireplaces may be just what you’re looking for. The signature design of Montigo fireplaces means you’ll always get sleek styling and a great view of your fire, whether you have them installed indoors or out. This particular model has a blower as well inside to blow hot hair up to the sitting area. The fireplace structure was veneered with Nantucket Eldorado cultured stones and G040 coping for the shelves of the fireplace.

LANDSCAPING & DESIGN

Some landscaping of the backyard area was completed with Gappsi’s team by adding to the existing landscape. Landscape design allows you to embrace nature in a manicured and predictable way, but the plants themselves have other benefits. Adding rich amounts of foliage may improve the air quality around your home. Plants absorb harmful pollutants and chemicals, purifying the air without the use of electricity or machinery.
